Anyone heard of this guy? I just saw on the news that he's a jr at bishop Kelly but has to sit out this year. 7'2 and they say some schools are already after him. Anyone know how good this kid is?

I dont think he's a Big 12 Prospect, but I could be thinking over another kid.

He played for SOYLA last year. There were several guys like him at various Tulsa schools.

They are not sure he will be eligible to play at OSSAA schools even next year.

Heard he can shoot a little bit and has that Euro game, doesn't want to play inside.

Here's an article and the video report i found on this kid. Bishop Kelley's coach called Mo "the best player he has ever coached and the best player he has ever seen."

Looks like one heck of a prospect to me. Too bad he won't be playing at Bishop Kelley, and likely not at any Oklahoma high school. The OSSAA ruled him ineligible and also denied the appeal.

Came to America for Basketball only. SOYLA was a bball factory. Similar to Sunrise Christian but they are a real school SOYLA, not so much.

You can just allow players to move to public schools.. Rich can go recruit these kids and move them into the district and be able to play.

Its better for public basketball to not allow this to happen!

I go to bishop Kelley and I know him. He's a nice guy

What are you hearing, OULegacy?

Does Mo plan to stay at Bishop Kelley or transfer to another school where he can play BB? With the appeal already rejected by the OSSAA, one would think that he may be forced to transfer if he wants to do more than practice with the team.

You cant just let kids transfer in and move in from a different country and play. There are these things called RULES.

I can understand if the kid transferred from another high school and has to sit out but another country? Should he really be penalized for being born in the wrong country?

By wrong I mean a place where he has a far less chance to be discovered by a school. And at that point it's not just about basketball but a potential college education.

Another country is just as bad. A quick internet search can find you tons of kids playing in all different countries. Its not "being born in the wrong country"....

SOYLA, Sunrise, and so on actively recruit players from foreign countries. How is that fair to public schools to play against them. These are bball factories.

Yet Kejuan Jones' mom got a part time secretary job at Jenks, and he was allowed to transfer from Hale to Jenks with no questions asked and did not have to sit out. The ossaa is such a joke. Have been for years.

Agree about the OSSAA but the rules have tightended up over the past few years.

I am good friends with one of the OSSAA directors and they spend so much of their time trying to catch people who are creatively trying to get around the eligibility rules. It's mind boggling what people do.

...and some school districts have open transfer policies, but you don't hear peOple talk about that much. At the end of the day, yes, transfers need to be reviewed but there is an exception for everything. Lots of the animosity comes down to jealousy.
