Re: >>>>>>>NCAA: OU vs. Albany Gameday Thread<<<<<<<

Tough game, they ran a good offense. Got a lot of shots under the basket and hit a fair number of treys.

We looked tight shooting away from the hoop. We hit just enough to win but we have to shoot better to advance beyond here. We are not likely to have the inside advantage in future games. Good game plan to go inside.

Thought the refs were very inconsistent. Called a lot of ticky-tack and phantom fouls while missing a lot of them.

Congrats fellas. You have a really good team. Albany put their best effort out there and kept it close but every time they made a play OU made two. The three at the end of the shot clock when Albany cut it to 6 was the back breaker. Best of luck the rest of the way. Hope you guys go deep into the tourney.

Your team played well!

Yes!! Keep advancing!

Great game for Thomas. Glad we kept pounding the ball. We r a better team when the ball goes inside out. Buddys gonna have to heat up a little or the next round is gonna b tough. If buddy gets hot we can play with anybody in our bracket

Forgot to add to my last post. I am damn proud of this Albany team. They fought through a ton of adversity this year, played hard and tough and fought against one of the best teams in the country.

Only player graduating is Sam Rowley so that's a good thing.

Thanks all! I gotta be honest though. I'm really pissed that we can't win one of these. 5 times in 9 years. We have to get out of the America East. We have the coach that can do it. We will never win a game in the tourney playing a Top 10 team every time we make it. We have now dominated out conference but it's hard for Coach Brown to recruit big men that can play. Peters sucks. Rowley brothers are good but just not big enough when they go against these real big men like OU has. Depressing to know we can make it but never win.

We've played UConn (#1), Florida(#1), Duke(#2), Virginia (#4) and now OU (#3). Almost impossible to win those games. Silver lining is we play tough and cover the spread every time.

There are close to 200 other schools who are in the same boat as you.

Y'all have nothing to be disappointed about. Think of all the similar schools who haven't been where Albany has. Was impressed with your coaches' set plays out of timeouts. Seems like a good one. Thanks for stopping by and being classy.

You have a lot to be proud for, and to look forward to next year. If Hooley decides to transfer, point him in the direction of Norman, Oklahoma. He's one heck of a player!

Thank OUHoops. I know I should be happy that we played well but 5 times is rough. I just want ONE! I just hope Coach Brown doesn't leave.

No chance of that happening. Hooley is staying, entering grad school next year at Albany to use his 4th year of eligibility. Was a medical redshirt.

OK, this time I'm leaving. It's been fun! Good luck!
