+++++NCAA Tournament First Round: Day 2 Thread+++++

I can't help but enjoy this Tex@$$ game. I know we should root for the big 12 but I would much rather play A&M or UNI.

What does rooting for the Big 12 accomplish? There's only one winner of this thing.

Texas might want to guard somebody.

When we weren't in the tournament, I rooted for 'the conference'. It's more fun to watch the games when you have some sort of vested interest. I'm happy if a Bix XII wins, but it's no skin off my nose if they lose.

Well obviously my #1 concern is OU to keep winning. Then my bracket, then big 12 at least getting some teams in the 2nd weekend (mostly OU though)

Did I hear the announcers say during the WVU game that the officials were told before the tournament to 'call every foul'?

Texas has cut the lead from 16 to 8. I'm getting nervous.

Before the brackets were released, I had decided to pick SFA to win their first game. When I saw the WVU matchup, I talked myself out of it given that WVU plays the same style, and has some size inside. That SFA team is the real deal. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them make the Sweet 16 or even the Elite 8. Those guys play together, and know how to win.

Doesn't matter what UT does, Big 12 has already been a bit of a disappointment. I thought we'd underachieve as a conference, but I didn't necessarily see 2-3 major upsets in the opening round.

Hopefully Jevan Felix keeps deciding to chuck it up there!

Conference strength is determined in 100+ non-conference games. The tournament is just a small sample of those.
