Well, fill me in as to why it is? I've been on Sooner boards alongside abd since at least 2005 (dating back to that hideous OUInsider board) and never noticed anything like this. But here there's a little clique that harasses him. I've noticed it mainly from two of the more frequent posters here, seniorsooner and bigtime, and I just don't understand it.

What gives?

I have discussed this ad nauseum in the past and I really don't want to go into it again.

Not paranoid, I know it. I receive the PM's from them telling me to change. I was also a mod at one point and know a certain group of people wanted to ban just about everyone they didnt like. I saw the discussion, I was part of it. I know exactly what "group a" wants this board to be and who they do and do not want to be a part of it.

I would tell them to shove it. If people can't deal with differing opinions over OU basketball, probably means they have greater troubles in the real world.

Some of the posters on this thread have been hounding me pretty much since I came here. But, I'm stronger than all of them.

Seniorsooner used to hound me, but I'd say he's been pretty cool to me lately. I don't think he cares much for my opinion, but it doesn't seem to effect him as much as it did last year.

Well it was less an indictment of OU's roster than of my basketball skills. I never was all that good, but right now I would be an absolute embarrassment. :ez-laugh:

A group of people on the board have made it their mission to drive off anyone who is against the regime. Me, Big Old Booger, SoonerfanTU (already gone), Grace, Cheno, and other long-time posters were targeted. Cheno and Grace left, SoonerfanTU is already gone, and they are trying their best to get the rest out of here.

With all due respect, ABD, this is a bit hyperbole on your part. First of all, I don't know of anyone who has tried to drive off posters who are against the regime. To be honest, if OU has another losing record next year, EVERYONE will be against the regime.

As for SoonerfanTU, he was banned...and from where I was sitting, for good reason. I don't know why Grace or Cheno left, but I'm guessing it's because OU has been awful in hoops the past two years, and there simply isn't any reason to be here. I don't get the impression either is that sensitive to the criticism of other posters.

As for YOU, I'm just guessing that a lot of posters are turned off by the FACT you almost never post after an OU win (unless it's a close win over a team like Central Arkansas), but hammer us with thread after thread when things aren't going well. For posters that are true OU fans who want the best for their favorite team, as opposed to "wanting to be right on an internet message board" sometimes that style is a bit of a turnoff. Just an observation, but perhaps if you "occasionally" say something positive, you might be viewed differently.

The bottom line is that I can't think of a single poster who has wanted to drive anybody off that is against the regime.

Message boards are what they are. You get a bit of everything in threads. Its simple for me, i can shrug off the threads or posts i find a bit looney and move on to the next post. Its easy to logon and post almost anything you want, i would not try to personlize what gets said on message boards, its not worth it at the end of the day.

I think my only issue is that we heard how great some of these teams were supposed to be throughout the entire off-season, and then when they aren't, we never hear the same level of accountability towards those respective coaching staffs, players or programs. Just seems like a double standard to me, but meh' certainly nothing to PM anyone over.
