New ARENA as part of entertainment District

The oklahoma way... Make excuses of why we dont go to things. parking, orange seats, opponent even in top25, Old people tell me to sit down anyway, late start, early start etc...

ITS always something.
You're talking to a 30 year season ticket holder so you might rethink that reply.

were you complaining? If the shoe fits wear it... if it doesnt than dont.
I have a right to say I don’t like or want the off campus arena, right? And was my point wrong, no.

For you to characterize me as someone “making excuses not to go to things” is ridiculous and wrong considering I’ve probably attended more games the last 30 years than 90% of the people on this board.

Were you wrong, of course you were. Wear it.

Be careful, you got the Coach laughing emoji … no comeback for that!

Joking aside, you’re absolutely entitled to state your opinion. Coach just takes personal offense whenever anyone says something that he doesn’t agree with, and acts like he is a better fan than all of us.

I pointed out folks would complain about anything. A new billion dollar arena. Nothing I said was a lie. Of course you have your opinion. What I said and your opinion can both be true.

When you quote someone and attribute your comment to them, and it turns out your comment wasn't true to them, it is a lie.

Thanks for making the time and supporting the effort.

Here's some unsolicited advice: use the ignore list. I don't know he managed such free reign, but I had my fill ages ago and it has improved my board enjoyment by leaps and bounds.

Norman resident here. Getting to that spot from OKC is going to be a pain in the ass. Something will have to be done on Flood up around where 24th and Tecumseh intersect. As it stands right now, there is no dedicated lane to hop off Flood and proceed west onto Tecumseh. That will be bottleneck city. After the game will be worse. Rock Creek doesn't have access to the Interstate, and you'll have to either make the awful left off of 24th onto Tecumseh to go up the hill to 35 OR, even worse, the right and then BRUTAL left onto Flood heading north.

I still think all of this is a pipe dream, and that it's a horrible idea to have an arena this far removed from campus. I lived in Ardmore for nearly 30 years and we've had tickets at Lloyd Noble since they opened the joint. If you want to go you hop in your car and you go. School's early the next day. Work sucks, but that's the price you pay for a Big Monday game in the Big 8 Conference........Mizzou's in town! "Sit down, Norm !!"
