Oklahoma will open next season on the road at UT Rio Grande Valley and UTSA (per John Rothstein).

Both schools coached by former Lon Kruger assistants --- Lew Hill and Steve Henson.

Interesting! Power 5 schools don’t usually play smaller schools like UTRGV and UTSA on their home floor. Clearly a favor from Lon to his former assistants.

He might not be so generous in the future if one or both upsets OU.

I like it. For the most part, our fans aren't interested in showing up to games against the cupcakes in non-con. Go get some experience on the road instead of beating an outmatched opponent in front of 3000 fans at home.

From what I heard during the season, the WSU game is a sure thing, I think the schools agreed to two more years of the series. Not sure whether they will be on campus or in OKC and the downtown Wichita arena.

This is really good scheduling.
You can finish around 500% in conference if you have a decent non-conference record and that will get you the NCAAs

You have to win some/most of those OOC games. Playing good teams and losing doesn't really help.

That'll be something close to a Notre Dame home game, crowd-wise.
