Oklahoma State at Iowa State

Disagree 100% and I rip Ford as much as anyone, but at some point the players have to begin to run the offense with more than 8 seconds left. This is specifically on Hickey and Nash for not instigating the final shot/play sooner.

Agree

Unless isu improves a bunch. That was watching 4 sooner wins

That's the way it looked to me, too. With all of the talk about how good ISU is, I expected a lot more. But based on what I saw tonight, this ISU team is not as good as last year's team.

I've been disappointed by a lot of the Big 12 teams in the early going. TT looks very weak and inexperienced. Kansas has had some bad pre-season games. Texas looked terrible yesterday, and Iowa State struggled to win tonight at home against OSU.

Actually, OSU and West Virginia look better than I thought they would be. Baylor, too.

DeAndre Kane and Melvin Ejim are a tough pair to replace. Kane was one of the 3-4 best players in the league last year.

Of course they have some transfers to replace those two. Bryce Dejean-Jones is supposed to be a big-time guard, and Jameel McKay just became eligible at the semester ..... He was the best juco big man 2 years ago. Both of those guys struggled to fit in tonight, and kind of underwhelmed me. Neither of them are on the level of Kane and Ejim.

Tough loss last night.

Damn, we've had some barn burners with Iowa State lately. I think our last four games have literally come down to the last possession, and two of the games went to OT.

Unfortunately for us, ISU has won 3 of the 4. It's almost like coaching matters in close games. ;)

As for this OSU team, I continue to be pleasantly surprised.

When ISU opened the second half in a flurry to open up an 11-point lead, I really thought this team would go down the tubes and lose by 25, but they fought back and had a chance in the end.

While this OSU team doesn't have the high-end talent that last year's team had, they are much more fun to watch. They seem to genuinely enjoy playing together and there isn't the brooding atmosphere that surrounded last year's team for much of the year.

I'm really liking some of our younger players, too. Tavarius Shine will end up being a really solid player, IMO. He reminds me of a Terrell Harris type.

Yeah Jeff, I think Forte, Nash, and Hickey are all very good players for the Pokes this year. They have surprised me by being better than I thought they would be as a team.
