Manek has really struggled. Has to score and make a three point play on foul but is too weak to score and only makes one free throw. Our two foreign big men are bad along with our defense. With our returning players next year we will be lucky to win ten games

Sadly, I though this year might provide a good launching pad for OU basketball but it was instead a hive dive into a shallow pool.

I had to laugh at Baylor. After the game they were incredibly excited about beating us. Crazy. Much of the time it looks like half the NAIA teams could beat us.

Beating us is totally meaningless. Certainly not something that should move you off the bubble. Crazy.

I can speak for a few friends who post on this board....it hurts to see us suck this bad. I didn't anticipate this season would spiral down this year the way it did after our great start. I hate to speak ill of Lon because I really like him. And I know he's trying his best, but it just isn't working on several levels. It's time to go a different direction. And that likely will include some short-term pain/losing, but I would gladly take that if it means long-term success for the program. I love OU basketball and it deeply pains me (and others) to see this program trending the direction it is. Unfortunately, this is what we are left with.

Baylor was desperate for a win.

They played like a team that wants to play in the NCAA Tournament. I don't blame them.

That was the weakest thing I’ve ever seen from Lattin.

Thank god i fell asleep and missed the entire game. I can't stand lattin. First game I've missed since 2006. I'm glad i did...

I just don’t know. I do know that every coach goes through bad times but whether he has put needed effort in coaching this team is questionable to me. I cannot attend a practice to see for myself but this team makes the same mistakes over and over. It may be that they are coached and just never learn though. I used to feel that way when I helped my daughter with math when she was in school.

Well shoot, how could we not trust a Maryland fan?

James, mcgusty, Doolittle, and mcnease are all big -2 players. James is having a really solid year.

We shouldn’t be this bad. Not even close

Sorry, if were talking football yes we are one of the greats. In basketball once maybe a decade we make the final four. We are an average or just above average basketball school and that is reality. You can believe anything you want but we don’t recruit 4 and 5 stars (every once in a while we get lucky with a local guy). We get 2 and 3 stars and hope they turn in to something. That is what average teams do.
