*******OU-George Mason Game Thread*******

We are letting them come right back into this...kind of pathetic how the last two years we have blown leads of 20 late in games

Lot of teaching lessons in this one.

I sure like watching Spangler compete.

Cousins played like a Freshman. Very disappointing.

Cam, Buddy and Spangler with double doubles.

Good Win.....but Cousins, although he has improved significantly, still drives me batsh!t crazy when he is in the game in a pressure situation.

Good win. Lots to work on though. We had a lot of trouble with their press and making good decisions when they trapped.

So You're telling me you're not fairly upset that we have struggled breaking the press all game? It will be harder in Big 12 play than against George Mason

Listen to those which you can learn from and ignore the rest.

Yeah, I'm disappointed with that. Plenty of things that we need to work on. Doesn't change what I meant in my post.

If you read your posting history - you will see why.

Good game Sooners.

Tulsa comes to town on Saturday.

Fouling two times during crunch time shows very little basketball I.Q.

these games just before and after class finals can be a bit crazy. Plenty of good and bad play seems to happen in these games. Just get the Win because practice time gets a bit hectic this time of year.

You get upset too easy. The George Mason press probably cost them points. I lost count of how many run outs to the rim we had. We won by 15 as a 6 pt. favorite. That is called exceeding expectations.

We were one 1 for 12 from 3 and turned it over too many times. We still won easily. That is what good teams do.

He seemed like he was out of sorts today (most of the team did). The good news is that he has been better so far this year than he was last year.

Finally hit a three....lol. Like the other poster said..some teaching after this game. Surprising that with a four guard offense, we had way too many to's against their press. The one with hornbeak trapped in the corner trying to heave the ball to halfcourt was horrid.

Great defense when we turn it up; really like the trapping d and the rebounding. Hield came back and had a good second half. Did something happen to Bennett? Don't remember him playing much in the second half?

Good game, Sooners!

It might have been cousins instead of hornbeak on the to, not sure.
