Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

His shooting has been a huge problem for us. At least it isn't effecting the rest of his game. Earlier in his career, his shooting slumps would lead to him making a lot of other bad plays. I'm glad that's changed and he makes good basketball plays when slumping.

Teams are basically daring Cousins to shoot - it will be a big problem down the road if he doesn't get this fixed as it means more double teams on Buddy.

The larger issue is his FT shooting which I'm not sure there is an answer for or a fix this year- he has to be on the floor at the end of games and if shoots like he is now we are going to lose games a result.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

We shot the ball well today....56% and 58% from three. Lattin and Spangler turning into a tough from court.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

What I'm saying is with the experience OU can put on the floor, no excuses for all those turnovers.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

You all need to get used to games like this. We aren't playing Incarnate Word and Mcneese State anymore. Big 12 teams are really good.

But turning it over 20 times is not excusable because the Big 12 is tough. That's all

Agreed. Although this week against OSU is probably a good chance for a blowout.

He needs to take the 3 at the top of the key, that he's used to. Not dribble it in to 17 feet. Shoots it better from far.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

That was KSU's largest margin of defeat this year, for all the chicken littles.

100

This is why I don't see Hield's minutes decreasing any time soon.

But they haven't had class all week.

Doesn't matter - Buddy got out of bed Tuesday at 3:00 pm WOW. Everyone I have listened to this week THAT KNOWS says they would be dead legged today and that they were

He has 0 confidence in his shot - I almost feel like the coaches have messed him up mentally by forcing him to get more arc on it. Sure the line drive style wasn't always the prettiest but it went in a good amount before. Now the ball is coming off odd and sideways and most every time feels like it has no chance to go in.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Kansas State Gameday Thread<<<<<<

#3 needs to learn that when he gets the rebound and Buddy is right there yelling at him to give me the ball - he needs to GIVE BUDDY THE STUPID BALL!!!!

very evident on the FTs

Only the third time they've given up more than 80....UNC and WVU (overtime) the others.

I get that, and I'm certainly happy with any win. Those "frustration posts" popping up throughout this thread are largely deserved, though. Unforced turnovers combined with allowing a lot of easy shots will result in frustration...human nature. The best positives I took out of this game is that we shot the ball pretty well and the fast break when OU forced a turnover was largely effective.

What does Tuesday have to do with Saturday?

I was up until 3:30 last night. I am not tired right now. And I'm not an elite conditioned athlete.

It's true....KSU, with their style of play, rarely gets blown out and can hang around teams that are alot better than they are.

Done arguing - I will take the word of Basketball people over someone on an internet board - plus my eyes don't lie either
