You know what I think Fran's problem is? He's afraid people are going to call him biased because his kid is on OU's team so he leans the other way.

It was a great win and a big feather in our cap. We were exceptional on defense tonight...on and off the ball. I think our bigs played outstanding against the most difficult frontline in the conference. On occasion, I think we could also use a little better judgment on when to push it. At times, our shot selection could've been better....but this is the coach coming out of me....sorry. I strive for perfection

I think our bigs played outstanding against the most difficult frontline in the conference. On occasion, I think we could also use a little better judgment on when to push it. In the words of the great Jack Buck "I don't believe what I just saw." I'm not sure this wasn't the most dominating game I have seen the Sooners play against a top 10 team. And you know what. We can play even better.
Defense was sensational and we stopped them cold inside where they are supposed to be so dominant. The only bad thing is that they will come into Norman more ready to play after being humiliated this way.
Lattin and Walker were good off the bench but we need to get 4 guys turning in 35-50 quality minutes to have the bench we need. I don't think DJ got in the game before the end and Frank was OK. Good to see him hit the free shots.
I had no problem with the officiating. Pretty rough inside but it was light years ahead of what we saw in the Baylor game. The letting them play should have favored Texas but our guards really helped out on defense and on the boards.

He is always complimentary of Lon Kruger which speaks a lot more to him just specifically being a good coach for it's a statement about the team in general. He also gave a lot of praise to Cousins as well.
