First OU - UT game this weekend, with the help of Denver Sooner - THANKS, and had a question about parking / DART.

Has anyone utilized the DART? If we get to the Cotton Bowl around 8:30 would parking be an issue?

I have used the dart the last 5 times i went to OU texas. It is awesome. You can stay a little further away if you want, park for free at the station and the train will take you to and from the game

I have not used DART personally but I know people who have and generally like it. However, if you arrive at 8:30 parking will be no problem at all!!

I haven't used the DART since they put in the Fair Park station. Last time I did thought, it was crazy crowded.

There are PLENTY of places to part, safely, within walking distance. Just head east on Commerce from downtown and there is parking all over. I've never had a difficult time getting in or out either.

This. We will be taking the "green line" from the Farmers Branch stop straight to Fair Park stop....it's a straight shot.

The couple of times I've tried parking at the fairgrounds it's horrendous. I took a cab last time and would definitely use Dart over parking myself.

This is the only way to go. Stay out in Plano and take it from there or the trains will be full by some of the stops further south.

Parking and traffic won't be an issue if you get there that early and you will get to see the team buses enter as well. I've always parked on the fairgrounds on the Southeast side of Faripark off Fitzhugh and have had no problems getting in or out.

I've always heard the south and east sides are easy pickings as far as parking, but never ventured over there. What is the best way to get to that side? I'll be coming down HW75, like everybody else, I suppose.

That's exactly what i do as well. Works like a charm and up that way the bars and restaurants aren't as crowded and rooms are cheaper

I think the Parker Road station is the furthest one north. You can stay in Plano or Allen.

My dad took Uber to the Tennessee game. A reasonable price going to the game, but afterward, they jacked up the price x10. He ended up calling a cab and saving a bundle.

I've taken DART the last two or three times I've gotten to go to the texas game, and it's worked out great. It has the added benefit of letting you have a beer or three after our big win (fingers crossed) without worrying about being behind the wheel.

uber did that to me when I went to a concert at a venue quite a ways outside of town. I was not impressed.

Interesting fact about helping JaymOU with finding tickets is that we actually wen to high school together (one year apart) and had quite a bit in common. Shows you what a small world it is.

Different strokes I guess, don't see the point of coming to Dallas for the game and staying in the suburbs. However, if you're staying up that far north, DART is a great alternative.

You didn't think of this before you went all the way out there? Uber is amazing, especially if you live in a city. The surcharges aren't ideal, but supply and demand, and it's not like they are a surprise...you know what you're going to pay before you get in the car.

Why should a person think a company would be dishonest? They said they would take us and pick us up for a set fee. I am not a fan based on my only experience.

Real cities have cabs that operate on a regulated, standard rate, not "surge" rates.

I'm joking about the "real city" part--kind of.
