OU v UT Parking / DART

Real cities have cabs that operate on a regulated, standard rate, not "surge" rates.

I'm joking about the "real city" part--kind of.

You also have to remember, the cabs in NYC are not the same as in others. Most cabbies in Dallas until a few years ago would rather have you pull a gun on them than a credit card, often refusing to take you places unless you had cash. Uber changed the system, which has been better for everyone...location mapping, splitting fares, Starwood points, you name it. It forced the cabs to change their crappy service and technology.

Why should a person think a company would be dishonest? They said they would take us and pick us up for a set fee. I am not a fan based on my only experience.

Assuming you don't know how Uber works, but carry-on.

Different strokes I guess, don't see the point of coming to Dallas for the game and staying in the suburbs. However, if you're staying up that far north, DART is a great alternative.

Why does it matter where you stay? I'm going to "stay" in Richardson, but obviously a lot of the things I'm going to do or see in Dallas won't be in Richardson.

I don't classify Richardson as a suburb, it's close to downtown and easy access from 75. Plano, Frisco, Allen, Grapevine...different story.

I take exit 488 and park in the 3 small lots south of the fair grounds, but I'm there by 8 AM.

I don't know if the difference between 8am and 8:45am makes all the difference, but this worked out terribly for me. Sat in traffic for nearly two hours yesterday. Lots of folks running late and missing kickoff. I literally hit the HW75/HW30 merge point at 8:45, and walked into the stadium 7 minutes before kickoff.

It makes all the difference in the world!

I know how business and descent people work. If you make a deal, a descent person honors the deal. To suggest otherwise, it is absurd and quite frankly a breach of contract and a DTPA violation in the state of Texas.

What was the deal?
