I hate to be Negative Ned, but when you hold the other team to 27 points, an 8-point margin is plenty big.

It's the equivalent of 54-38 in a high-scoring half.

I don't disagree. I didn't say we played all that good. Just said that we are only down 8 which is only a 3 possession game in basketball. Technically 2 possession game but 4 point plays are rare.

I'm not sure I agree...I mean, in principle it makes sense, but 8 points is 3-4 possessions. 16 points is 6-8 possessions. Even in a slow-paced game, you can make 3 threes in a row...making 6 or 8 without the other team scoring is impossible.
