Going nine minutes without a field goal, unbelievable. Getting killed on the boards, no block outs and no hustle under the basket. Both teams have eleven turnovers. Ours are just brain dead mistakes. We need to take advantage of their aggressive defense and drive to get more attempts at the free throw line. I'm not worried about the officials, we are beating ourselves by throwing the ball away and not being tough under the boards. The have a 24 to 14 advantage on the boards. If we can keep Gioya on the floor, I think she can turn us around and get to the rim.

McDonald came into the game shooting 11 of 22 from the free throw line. She is six of six. She was shooting 22.7%from three. Is two of five. We have made a star out of her today.

Sharane has two threes. Other than that, she has been a liability. Three turnovers. Four missed shots, including two wide open layups. Maddie added nothing. Peyton has three turnovers. Kay Kay is still in Norman.

I thought we might fight back after Texas. Is there something in the WV water that kills our spirit and energy?

Pretty much says it. We just flat out lost this half. WV has looked rather bad. We have looked absurd.

With Gioya on the bench, going away from the Pick and Roll w Maddie has me lost in space. It was works all the time and we go away from it- Im lost. Other than that, the ball is not moving, the girl are not working to get open- Forcing bad shots. Lack of Effort off the ball, and it'd be a good idea to eventually block out here--- killing us. Credit WV's effort and athleticism. We need to step it up.

A much shorter Tech teams beat WV twice, with hustle. Wasn't close either time. WV can't handle the ball. Today, we are the ones who can't handle it. We have the wrong people trying.

We are not going to be consistant or smart all the time with that much youth-that is a given with this young team....but they aren't giving up and quitting. At times they have looked really good and we got our hopes up. BUT we are solid in second place, and play at home next weekend.

I said bad words after Maddie couldn't even get the ball in bounds with a good pass. Glad Sherri yanked her if that's what she's going to do. She also might try shooting the dang ball some instead of a bounce pass into double coverage.
