Several WV players have gotten away with shuffling their feet.

I agree and understand, but you have to adjust to the game you're playing today, and today she wasn't going to out jump those bigs often or be able to go straight up every shot. Not adjusting to the game as it played out is what has me miffed at her.
 
We need to just put this ugly scene behind us and get ready for ISU.

I agree. Sometimes it seems that she wants to play that way anyway. It doesn't help that seems seems to be a foul machine.
 
When you don't do the little things that got you to 7-0 in the conference, this is what happens. I saw one pump fake all game long, I saw kids forcing passes into turnovers when they could have pulled up and taken ten foot jumpers. Dribbling the ball off their feet. This team is better than that and they will learn from their mistakes and poor play. It is frustrating to lose to a team not as good as you. Man, I love these Sooners, now its time to get tough and learn.
 
The loss against Texas was not a bad loss. This one was. We played sloppy, just like they did early in the year.
 
I think we all pretty much knew this young team would stumble at some point. They lost at Texas, but (contrary to what some believe) I actually think they played pretty well in that game. This one was, however, our first stinker in conference play. Like I said earlier, time to get ready for ISU.

Well said Roc. Just too many mistakes and no one seemed to be able to steady the ship today.

We also made an All-American out of Breana McDonald.
She averages 5.8 ppg. Today? 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and two blocks. When did Jewell Loyd transfer to WVU?
 
We lost this game. I thought when we got within three that we had it. Then, we made three very silly and thoughtless turnovers to let them rebuild their lead. I think this is the most disappointing loss in several years in that we had it within us to win, but just let it slide away.

Our stars really didn't show up today. Gioya was one of eight. Sharane simply cannot be allowed to dribble inside any more. She made a living at it last year. But, she can't do it this year--at all. When you get it close, and a backup point guard dribbles it carelessly off her foot, you just aren't thinking. Peyton had her worst game in conference play.

Gabbi was probably among our best today. But, three really thoughtless passes when we had closed the gap were deadly. She wasn't even trying to advance the ball. They were just careless tosses.

Get off Maddie's back. She had four turnovers, one of which Peyton simply fell down on. You can't just fall down. Another hit Derica in the hands. The others were at least trying to advance the ball. Most of our turnovers today were just pointless, not even forced by the defense. If you hit thirty-five percent on those possessions in which we just threw it away carelessly or dribbled into traffic (for the umpteenth time) only to lose it, or passed the ball from post to----where were some of those headed---we probably have more than enough to win. We didn't turn it over due to pressure, but due to thoughtlessness. I thought that graduated.
 
The only beef I had with Maddie today is she passed up some open looks from ten feet. I want her to be just a little more selfish with the ball. Our kids spacing was kind of lousy too, and did not give Gioya or Maddie the opportunity to drive at will.
 
Wonder if were sick. I know Maddie had to go away from the bench to cough- Gioya didn't move like she does. Jet Lag and some were sick

I thought the spacing left something to be desired today too and Maddie did turn down too many 10 ft jump shots. She had Peyton doing the splits trying to reach back for that pass when Maddie should have just shot it.
