We have 6 games left and other than At Texas, I don't see any of them that we shouldn't win. If that happens, we will get a bye in the Big-12 tourney and go to the NCAA as a 6 or 7 seed. Wow how Lon has worked some quick fixing!!! Can't wait for the big tourney, it is not nearly as fun to watch when the Sooners are not in it.

At Tech
Baylor
At Texas
ISU
WVU
At TCU

I really like your confidence. Hope it works out like that. I just want us to win the next game (TT) and we can go from there. Coach has done an amazing job his year. Kudos to the players too. :krugs

i think 11-7 is probably more likely, and pretty good imo all things considered.

agree Lon has done a great job. worth what we spend and a good, right hire. when we set up on O, you get the feeling we'll move the ball around and get a good shot at least...been since Billy maybe.

i'm most certainly not a Kelvin basher but getting a good look was not always a given with KS. playing D and getting more of less roster sure but not always guys running the O, getting a look.

In the remaining games, OU needs to play with the same energy and passion that they played with in Stillwater. If they do, then they will be in the Big Dance.

The problem, of course, is that it will be difficult to maintain that energy and passion. It is up to the seniors to keep it going.

So I'm curious who you think OU wil lose to?

Well, Texas is AWFUL and we will KILL them in the drum. And at home with 9 to 10,000 OU folks we will beat a Baylor team that we beat in Waco and Iowa State is TERRIBLE on the road and great at home. I just don't see a loss coming.

Well I didn't think we would play so poorly in Ames, or at home against KSU, so dropping one or two games we should win, when we are relying on a lot of young guys and newcomers to contribute, wouldn't surprise me at all.

Plus, we let Texas hang around in the LNC, and that was before Kabongo was back. Having him back without Hield to defend him is going to be difficult. Especially since it might mean playing Cousins more than Grooms because he's more quick-footed on D.

I think 12-6 is best mark, I am leaning towards 11-7 myself. I don't think 13-5 is completely unattainable but some games on road and home games against good teams could cause a slip up. I still think 11-7 and at least 1-1 in tournament gets us in dance.

Well, I guess I am just a glass half full guy. Vegas will have OU as the favorite in ALL 6 games. We will see.

That isn't probably far off. I would guess a pickem to a small favorite against Iowa St., Baylor, and Texas. And a solid but not overwhelming favorite against the others.

But, they aren't as good without Buddy. They will have to show up and play good. It is basketball. They will have a couple of games where they shoot just terrible and they will have a couple of those teams go off on them. This is uncharted territory for every player on that team. It will be fun to see how they hold up. I would be thrilled with 4-2.

Iowa State isn't TERRIBLE on the road.

In fact, they've lost three conference road games on literally the last possession: @OSU, @Texas and @Kansas.

They present OU with its biggest matchup problem, because they have several "tweener" types who can really shoot.

The game at Texas is a risk because Texas plays pretty good defense. If OU doesn't shoot the ball well in Austin they could lose.

I think Baylor is the best matchup for OU, and since the game is home, I would put that at a pretty low risk.

If I were to rank OU's "risk of losing" games, I'd put them like this:

1. vs. Iowa State
2. @ Texas
3. vs. Baylor

No risk @Tech or @TCU. Slight risk vs. WVU, but hardly worth mentioning.

not predicting any road wins at this point. KU lost at TCU. never predicting a win at Texas. that's exactly the game we lose. BU and ISU we SHOULD take care of in Norman....but they are teams capable of getting hot. ISU buried us at Hilton.

stick with 11-7 and a 8-9 seed in the NCAA.

I really have to look at this evaluation of OU's schedule - FROM AN AGGIE?????? Nope, you have WAY to orange of glasses. But interesting that you continue to hang out on an OU board, hmmmmm. OU will win all our Home games and At Tech/TCU. At Texas, are you talking about the Texas team WITH their new guy back that got slapped at KU by like 40? Hmmmm, I will take OU - Vegas will have OU as a 9 to 12 point favorite - Texas can't hit the ocean while standing on the beach so I don't care how good of defense they play, lol

We are good enough – and playing well enough now – to win all six of those games. I'm hopeful we'll do just that. On the other hand, winning six in a row is difficult in any league.

There's no reason we should lose to either UT or ISU (or both). We're a better team than both of them. It might actually be more likely that we'll lose to Tech or TCU. Both are inferior teams, but we've seen what happens when other teams in the Big XII take them lightly.

As an eternal optimist (some would say 'sunshine pumper'), I believe we'll win all six games.

I think it's clear you really don't understand Vegas...
We won't even be favored by double digits at Tech on Wednesday.

@Texas, UT will either be about a 2 point favorite, or we will be about a 3 point favorite, max.

ISU and Baylor are both "rated" ahead of OU by Ken Pom.
