The more I think about it, I really believe that Coach Kruger can really help improve Steven's game. A well structured offensive scheme tied to fundamental basketball and getting good shots within the offense are going to be things that add confidence to a shooter like Bird.

I firmly believe that confidence has been at the core of his shooting inconsistencies and I can understand somewhat with the street ball style of offense that Coach Capel ran in the halfcourt.

I expect we will see SP be a much more efficient scorer during his final two seasons and a more complete player.

We need Bird to be coming hard off those screens like Mike Neal used to and have him getting open shots.

I agree BT, I really think Pledger will benefit from this staff.

Everything will be more structured with LK which will be a good thing for these guys. They will have a chance to learn and get the most out of their ability.

Would love to get 14 to 15 a game from Steven.

Exactly. Find the type/location of 3 point shot that Pledger is best at, and run plays to get him those shots. Capel didn't do that. I think LK will.

I'm not so much worried about the average, as I am how in how efficient he is in getting whatever he gets. No reason he cannot approach or eclipse 40% from beyond the arc.

And stop getting charging violations.

I agree with all of you guys...think we're going to set up some plays to get Bird open looks. Really think he's going to improve next year. We all know the potential is there.

Improved point guard play would go a long way in making several of our players better, including Steven Pledger, imo.

Kruger & staff should make both Pledger rated(121) by Rivals 2009 & Fitz rated(70) by Rivals 2009 into better players!!Throw Cam into the mix & if all three improve OU will look like a completely different team next year!!Go Sooners!!!!

Agree with this...it's not like we don't have talent. We're going to have 4 starters that were nationally ranked coming out of HS and then the 5th will (most likely) be a top 10 JuCo player.

I agree with this, but at the same time Pledger has to play defense and he needs to not be so stationary on offense. I'm not a big fan of Blair but he was pretty good at penetrating and dish so if Pledger would move a little bit he could be the beneficiary of some of that penetration.
