I am typing this during the under 4 minute timeout...how many possessions in a row has MU scored? This is first time in a long time that I am questioning this team's heart.

I knew we would have a game like this eventually still doesn't make it any easier to take

Seemed like a bunch. They were all layups. Finally got a stop.

Hooray we got a stop. Our best defender, Kimmy English, missed a 3. He is an awful offensive player

It's more a lack of quality depth than heart. I thought our kids competed hard in the first half. But when Fitz and Blair got in foul trouble, we didn't have anyone who could even come close to taking their place. Neal is not a good defender or rebounder right now, and C. J. is not much of a factor on offense. Newell is a turnover waiting to happen every time he touches the ball. Sad to say, but Capel doesn't have many options beyond our top six. And to make matters worse, Cade and Pledger were not at the top of their game today.

I agree with a lot of that. I know our depth is not good but this was the first time in a long time I saw slumping shoulders and guys just getting blown by for easy layups. Again, I don't think it's a big deal because these guys have played very hard for a good bit now. I was just more get this out there. Sort of venting some frustration

I think you are right about the body language. It seemed to me that with about 7 minutes left, Capel noticed it as well. That was the point where we played Cal, Neal, Fitz, Clark, and Barry. His post game radio comments would seem to lend credence to your observation.

What did he say in the postgame? I didn't listen

Basically we played well 1st half, not in 2nd. Freshman led us which is a bad thing. Pledger didn't fight. Wondered what his excuse for that would be. This came from the end of the game thread.

Ada hit it on the head. This team cannot afford to get in foul trouble because after our starting 5 we really dont have anyone to step up. CJ has flashes and we are undersized and understrengthed.
