Raise your hand if you had OU starting 9-1.....

Me too,I had us going 1-2 in the 76er. FWIW I had us at 9-3 in non con(losing to Cincy),and 8-10 in conference. At this juncture I will be sorely disappointed if we don't reach 11-1 going into Big X play. I also think if we stay healthy we could go as high as 10-8 in league plaay.

I didn't really have any idea what to expect. Looking at the schedule it seemed like OU could win most of its non-conference games but the Thanksgiving Tournament, Arkansas, Houston, and Cinci all looked like potential losses. I certainly did not expect OU to lose them all but they did stand out as difficult games and given what this group did under Capel you had to be concerend about these games.

I still don't know what to expect in conference play. I am getting optimistic and I am excited about next year because OU will have depth next year.

Don't ask me. I would have given Capel another year. :capelspin

It's fun to watch these guys. Love the defense this team throws out there every night.

Great start for you guys.

Kruger has done a great job.

Wish I could say the same about Ford. :facepalm

LOL... sadly, that's the kind of game I've come to expect this year.

Sort of numb to it at this point...

Jeff, that is how I have felt for the past two seasons. It's a strange and unsettling feeling, isn't it?

eff that feeling. I hope we don't have to experience that again.
It got to the point that I would DVR games, see how we were playing and just fast forward through the whole thing

And I thought I was the only one that did that.

Heck... I'm to the point that I don't even bother to DVR the game.

If we're playing a half-way decent team, I'll actually wait until about 30 minutes after tip-off to see if I even need to bother watching.

Last night when I tuned in, we were already down 15. I said "Eff this" and turned it off.

EDIT: If you would have told me 10 years ago that our football team would be #3 and an eyelash away from playing for the national title and our basketball team would be in the basement of the Big 12, there's no way I would have believed you. Good grief.

Haha... So true.

What are your thoughts about Ford at this point?

I didnt have them 9-1, but I had them playing New Mexico and/or Villanova in that tourney in California. I also thought Arkansas would be a tough game, before their best player Marshawn Powell tore his ACL.

Hopefully with the Cincy supspensions we can come out 11-1 in the non-conference. I thought we would be 9-3 with losses at Cincy and one or two out of Arkansas, New Mexico and Villanova. I never saw St. Louis coming. At 10-1 St. Louis is looking pretty good outside of their loss to a 6-6 Loyola Maramount team.
