So your faulting our AD is taking his time, making sure that we get a good quality coach? Probably not a guy that everyone will like 100%, But do you think he is going to hire some one that he doesnt feel confident in??

If he gets rejected once or ten times, he will re-group and still find the right guy.

Yes, because this is what Joe did last time. Look what happened. Epic fail.

Joe is a great AD but his record of hiring basketball coaches is not good. Right now, he's 0-1 and the further this goes along and the more candidates say "no thanks", the worse it gets.

Joe is the reason we are in this mess because he's the one who went on the cheap and hired a 5th place Colonial conference coach for the 11th highest salary in the Big 12. All of this to the 2nd best program in the history of the Big 12 and 2nd most successful program in the conference over the prior 25 seasons.

If you can't see why some posters have some angst pointed at Joe then I don't know what to tell you.

No. How about doing some research into TMG and finding out a little about him before we give him the keys to the cadillac? How about once he's on campus disciplining him for not attending practice and not playing defense instead of playing him every minute of most every game?

TMG did put us in a hole, but he's not the entire reason Capel was fired. I would say his numerous recruiting misses before TMG ever stepped foot on campus were just as harmful to the Capel tenure as TMG or Tiny.

I could make up a name and start tweeting and posting, blah, blah, blah and 75% on here would believe everything I wrote! I'll give DB credit that he may know something about basketball but that he knows very little to nothing on the OU coaching search AND what Joe C's criteria is for hiring a new coach. He's just speculating like everyone else.

He knows what OU needs right now. He never said he had some inside sources or anything. He admitted it is all speculation.

You're right coaches strike out on kids all the time. Of course he wasnt the entire reason. Wasnt he not started several games? and sat out a couple?

He sat out the first half of the Gonzaga game for coming back from Christmas break 2 days late. No other punishments I can remember for skipping practice and definitely no punishment for not playing defense.
