Even though I voted excellent, I do have two concerns...recruiting & $2.2 million. Especially recruiting in the immediate, hoping he can find someone worth signing.

Excellent hire. The man has won at every place he has coached; in 4 different conferences; in the Southeast, in the Heartland, and in the Southwest. Don't see how this doesn't work out. Soooo happy right now.

Believe that was Capelfan52 who changed his name to Krugerfan52, because I know he said he wasn't thrilled about the move. Nice to see him showing support though.

Yes. He is.

2.2 m just ain't wait it used to be. Both Buzz Williams and Matt Painter (two good coaches that have accomplished a lot less than Kruger) both got new contracts in that same range. Arkansas is paying Mike Anderson 2.2 m. Those are three guys that just got a similar contracts to Kruger in the last week or so.

For where the program has fallen to...yes he is. In a year or two we'll probably be saying we should pay him more.

I understand that in a couple of years we might be paying him more or he might be worth that but right now is he really worth 2.2? Jamie Dixon makes half of that. Did we even attempt to go after him. I thought during this whole process that we weren't going to be close to paying 1.5 but 2.2.

I am starting to think that you are just messing with us. Do you really think that Jamie Dixon would leave Pittsburg for OU for 2.2m?

Only rated it a good hire because Dixon, Wright and some others could be considered excellent. But it would be a short list. I am pretty happy about it because it's very low risk with a great chance to be in the dance every year.
