Ray Penn suspended indefinitely

Everything is fine. That is all.

So how many players has Ford signed that he's cut ties with within a season or two?

Has to be getting close to double figures, if not past it.

Seems like he has issues identifying the kind of people and players he wants at OSU.

Sounds familiar

Is it that he (and others) have a problem identifying the kind of people and players he wants or is it the fact that there aren't as many of the kind of players they want. The AAU system, as it works now, turns out more selfish players than we saw in the 'pre-AAU' days.

So he should recognize that and adjust accordingly.

Most teams don't have that kind of attrition. A player or two every couple years who leaves because he's recruited over and no longer has a spot or who is sent packing for some off the court reason is expected. The OSU situation goes beyond that, though.

Ironic, because earlier that was the very aspect Ok. State fans have used to champion Ford when discussing him and Capel.

No doubt the current AAU atmosphere is a little bit more difficult to maintain continuity compared to the past, but there still shouldn't be that much attrition within a program.

Huh?

How?

Both Oklahoma schools have had more than their fair share of attrition over the past few seasons. At least OU hasn't recruited any (alleged) rapists.

Exactly my thoughts. Before when this debate would come up, one of the main factors for Ok. State fans advocating for Ford was the fact that he doesn't oversee a program with as much attrition as Capel does.

Which is why its very ironic now, because Ford is in fact managing a similar mercurial atmosphere with his program.

He still thinks he's coaching UMASS.

As soon as he cut ties w/ Adams and Thomas...I knew that he was in trouble. He ruined what opportunity they had to go deep in the tournament. I really felt bad for Eaton, as JR and SR...He never really had a chance to play with experience post players.

Good points, but he really didn't cut ties with them as much as they cut ties with them. Let's just say that personality wise they didn't match up, especially Thomas.

Exactly.

Thomas was a 6'11" guy who wanted to float around the perimeter and shoot 3s.

Ford wanted him to play inside, so he left.

But it still comes back to you guys are a lot of players under ford for what ever reason just like OU is. Both teams are dealing with far too much turnover in my opinion.

I do realize that not all of it at osu is on ford, just like all of it at OU is not on Caple. there is a lot of blame to go around for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons when you have this much attrition in a program

Thomas was also a very quiet guy and acted like the first profanity he ever heard came out of Travis Fords mouth. Sometimes personalities just don't mesh.

As for the rest of them. I don't know.

Winning would make everybody happy at both schools.

At least several of our quitters/runoffs were burger boys. Even our losers are better than osu's.
