We are the 3 seed in the Big-12 tournament.

Even if we both end up with the same record, it will come down to the fact we swept Iowa State while K State split with Iowa State.

By the way, a tie with KSU happens only if they win the last two (including beating Texas next week) and we lose to both TCU and Baylor.

Is 3rd good or bad - considering who we will play (likely West Virginia, a very rough team)?

As a #3, we would probably get Texas in the semi-finals rather than Baylor, a better match-up for us.

Not only a better match up on the court but also on he bench. Kim makes in game adjustments infinitely better than does Aston.

And she has better players with which to make those adjustments.

I don't think she intimidates the refs. I do think she has about half the people on here intimidated. KM like any other good coach will "try" and work the refs, but other than that I can see some of you are just giving too much credit to KM

Agree with working the refs. She also knows what motivates her players. She seems to come across as a coach that supports her players as long as they are doing what they are supposed to do. At the same time, she gets on them when they blow it, right to the point where she does not care if they are 15 points down. She will sit all five starters at the same time...she openly makes a point and disciplines! I suppose that's a great characteristic of a great coach (and parent)...they support you in your positive progress and when you blow it, they have to give that tough love/discipline! And, it's obviously been working well for them.

No question Kim has permanently etched her image into many minds on this board. In reality Kim really isn't worth mentioning on a OU board unless the Bears are the next game up.

Kim who?

:) Now you've got at least until day after tomorrow when we are facing the bears next. Yapping about what's her name constantly is like OU football fans constantly giving the whorns down sign year round. It it only broadcast to everyone that we are preoccupied with the whorns and putting a feather in their cap. They belong mostly in the very back of our minds.

Does texas have the tie breaker on us? not unrealistic to think they could lose at state and having beaten texas in norman we have a chance against baylor. Would like to avoid w va as our first opponent if possible

I think if we beat Hypocrite U and TX loses to K-State, the tie breaker would come down to who they lost to. We both would have split with Hypocrite U and K-State and each other. We lost to WVU and they lost to ISU so whoever is seeded higher between the two would be the better loss. I think ISU is going to be higher seeded, at this point, thus TX would be seeded 2.

West Virginia will be a tough 1st round. Number 11 and 5 are really good players!

The big 12 tournament could be a wash because most of the teams already know each other pretty well at this point... stranger things have happened but it's going to be tough for us to win the title... the NCAA tournament is better and a wild card I think OU could make it to the sweet 16 or maybe even the elite 8.

That depends on which OU team shows up. We also could get bounced in the first round the way this team played last night.

Mulkey has went from a player I thought was going to challenge to make All big 12 1st team... but she has really cooled down since the start of conference... I think it was her conditioning as well as the fact that ViVi has been better forcing Sherri to play her... No the less game playing for a 6'9 player isn't easy... I can see Mulkey having a break out post season...

Last night, I thought Nancy did better than Vivi, although neither did well.

West Virginia---we beat them without Maddie. We also took them in the tournament a couple of years ago. Just don't let them get started from three.

I agree, Syb.

Vivi just seemed to be completely out of sorts. Of course the length of Baylor impacted her and they collapsed on her well and she failed to pass it out when they did. Of course, if she had, last night we would have missed the wide-open shot 75 percent of the time.

WVU we are going to have to break them down on the dribble drive, pass it out for open mid-range and 3s and hit them and rebound like crazy. You know, as well as I do, that they are going to full-court press every second of the game.

We usually don't handle that very well.

We will have both Gabbi and TT. Gabbi is doing better. The key is that we will have Maddie who is capable of hitting her open jump shots. She is over forty percent this year on threes. Gabbi is about that in Big Twelve play. Peyton is only at about 30%. Maddie is the only consistent jump shooter that we have. Gioya can hit that short jumper.

But, WV is not Baylor. They do call fouls if we drive the lane.
