Sounds like Allen to Mizzou...

This spring signing period has gotten a little choppy. It would be nice to have some good news.

It was our choice to part with him. We never offered.

That is quite possible. He is, I'm sure, going to make a good player. He was like Cunningham. Nice to have. But, not must have.

I do think that we still need a contribute right away caliber player in the late period.

Unless something major red flag popped up... In the last 3 days, that's not true.
He's had an offer for a long time.

Agreed. Every site I have been on (Scout, 247 sports, ESPN, Rivals, Verbal Commits, Top 150, etc.) shows he had an OU offer. No way all of those recruiting sites could be wrong.

OU's coaches might have pulled the offer in the last few days. But I'd be willing to bet my last dollar he had one.

I think he was just making a joke...as that is what we say every time we lose a recruit.

It's a bad joke, b/c it's a true statement on a lot of kids over the last year or two. LK has no problems offering a kid, then pulling the offer later for a variety of reasons.

The football program gives out a lot of offers by which the recruit can't commit. I have a feeling that OU is going after Thomas from UH.

"Feeling"? It's fact OU is chasing thomas, along with 50 other schools. Supposedly he's Down to below 5.
Ou being one of them.

One could easily see the OU coaches backing off Allen if they have a good feeling about Thomas. Allen is a nice prospect but as others have mentioned he appears to be redundant to existing signees.
