TCU: 2017 NIT Champions

if it was a young guy coach type I'd be concerned that he'd move on if successful. But jamie Dixon is liable to stay and make a good thing go down there. that would be cool.

Good for them. They're a quality team when they don't have to play Big 12 teams every week.

Ken Pomeroy commented last night on twitter that they would win the Big 12 next season. I'm not sure if he was joking or not. They're a pretty good team who had a pretty good season and they add R.J. Nembhard next year but I still don't see them even as a top 3-4 team in the conference next season. I would think they'd be behind KU, WVU, Baylor, and OU, for sure.

Props to TCU! Not a bad consolation prize for a team that didn't quite make it to the big dance this season.

They have a very solid point guard... a top tier SF even by Big 12 standards (Kenrich Williams), and a very reliable player in the paint (Vladimir Broadziansky).

They will make the NCAA Tournament next year, that is a guarantee.

Tech lets him down so he is all in on the Frogs. Never change ABD

Think ABD may be right for once. At least this prediction isn't based solely off of bringing in a bunch of jucos.

It is amazing what a good coach can do.

“You have to take steps,” Dixon said, sharing his philosophy of program building. “And this is a huge step. I wanted our players to be proud of our program. I wanted our school to be proud of our program. And that’s what I came to do. I thought I could be the guy to do it. I thought I had the background.”

Jamie Dixon is 51 years old

Dixon began his coaching career in 1989 as the head coach at Te Aute College, a secondary school in New Zealand, before serving as an assistant at Los Angeles Valley College from 1989–1991. He then became an assistant coach at UC-Santa Barbara and then at the University of Hawaii. Dixon then served as an assistant under Ben Howland at Northern Arizona University. After a brief stint as an assistant at Hawaii under Riley Wallace, he was reunited with Howland at Pitt in 1999. Dixon was promoted as Pittsburgh's head coach when Howland left for UCLA following the 2002–03 season.

I think they finish in the Top 4 of the conference next year for sure. They have as good of a nucleus returning as any other team in the conference.

broadniak and that little albino kid are an excellent tandem to be bringing back too. the euro has a really good game and that little guard is tough and steady. I really like them both.

I was actually surprised they won the NIT without the albino PG. He's really good and we had no answer for him in KC. I kind of thought he was what made them go but they sure looked good the last 2 nights without him.

they're very well coached and they play efficient ball. I saw them play maybe 6 games this season and enjoyed watching every one.

OH NO! Is he gonna be ok?

He was on the bench with his arm bandaged. My wife asked me during the UCF game why he wasn't playing then they showed him on the bench with his arm in a sling.

He's got a smooth shooting stroke so I'm sure he won't have a problem finding his form.
