This has been a beautiful game. And I think we will REALLY grow after this because your going to be able to pick out the plays where the dribbling costed us- while the passing made us. Could really launch us forward

4 minutes left. We are ahead by 22. Playing mop-up players.
This is probably the closest to a complete the ladies have played.
Defense was really good. Peyton solid. Gabbi did well. Vivi was Vivi. TT played well. Maddie tough defensively.
Just a nice solid game. 3 other shooting not great is only bad thing.

I thought Texas Tech had some good players. They seemed strong and talented, but maybe not quite quick enough. Was that inadequate physical quickness or inexperience? The next game in Lubbock may reveal the answer.
We played tremendous defense for three quarters, taking a 56-28 lead. I think we got that to 59-28 before it became street ball. Everyone had a role in this one.
I like what I saw of Rich. Penzo is still our best point other than Gabbi.
I like what I saw of Brooks and Brewer. I've seen Recee before, and I am surprised that we held her down. Usually, it is her type that runs us nuts..

Won this game with defense-really good effort from everybody. Maddie is my defensive player of the game-good hands and uses her reach well. ViVi had another all-around good game-another double double. TT returned to have a good game as back up point, great energy and defense. Peyton not shooting well outside, but started going to the basket.
Our defense really took Tech out of their comfort zone, very few easy shots, and when they did get open they were still looking for defenders. Held them way below % shooting average.

I agree. Best all-around game of the year. Defense was good and for us, shot pretty good percentage on offensive end. Really moved the ball around well on offense.
I don't believe a starter played in the whole 4th quarter.
Really good defensive play from the girls. I agree with the assessment. When we pass the ball, we can be deadly, dribble, dribble, we kind of become mediocre. This was a nice step for the kids. I thought Tech would give us a much tougher game. We came to play today. Took good available shots, just couldn't get it to fall. I hope we can put it all together Tuesday and take down the Longhorns.
From what I can tell, and from what Sherri said after the game, we limited our turnovers the first three quarters, then kind of threw the ball around in the fourth. The kids did a nice job of taking care of the ball for most of the game.
Peyton and Maddie are finding other things to contribute when shots are not falling. Defense, rebounding, getting the ball to teammates. Playing like senior leaders.

Whorns are playing tough defense too and we could see a low scoring game in Austin. Really going to be tough as they seem to be playing their best right now as well.

Clearly the best game of the season. Maddie turns down too many shots then tries too many hard passes. Still love her.
We need better 3 point shooting but I was glad to see us change our game after we couldn't connect from behind the arc.
Little concerned that our freshmen are tailing off. Need them to be strong the rest of the season.
Good effort, better defense and rebounding. Suprised that Gabbi only played 18 minutes.

Great game, girls......Super defense !!! Keep it up !!! Was surprised that T Tech didn't show up, as they played W. VA really good.....Every game in the Big 12, we need to BRING IT !!!! Longhorns up next !!! Any TV on that game???
I'm sure it will be on LHN, if it's not scheduled for Fox Sports 1 or ESPiN channel.
