That way i didnt have to see the mess that showed up in Lubbock...my ESPN app alerted me at halftime, i did a serious double take...I feel so bad for these guys, but they are in waaaaaaay over their head as a unit...I'm not saying they have thrown in the towel, but a performance like that begs the question...

If Capel does indeed get another year, which i still believe he gets, i dont think there is anyway he can keep it after next year....because even if they make the tourney, there are so many against him that in every loss, negative trend, question of effort...everything...its going to be pointed at him as a negative...If he can hold it together after that he is one amazing guy...

Capel pretty much threw the players under the bus after the game and said they quit.

Nobody is saying Jeff Capel is a bad guy or anything. I like him as a person. It's just painful to watch this basketball.

If he did indeed say this, that is pathetic on his part...so now we have a coach that his team quit on him two years in a row?

These are different squads too, so you can throw out faulting the players in this scenario...

I wanna believe in you Capel! give me something here!

He did it in his nice way. Basically saying that we prepared well for the game but the players lacked execution and effort. He didn't really go after the players like he has in past games per say. Sometimes he'll name a player saying he didn't play with much effort. But here was his direct quote. "I had to coach effort tonight, it's hard to win when you have to coach effort in a game."

me too. at least i have an avenue to watch some entertaining basketball live. this is why joe c has to make a move. you can't continue to lose fans to the thunder, because it's going to be that much harder to win the fans back with another bad year, sans free tickets.
