Charlie Creme over at ESPN has us at a number 7 seed in the Bridgeport bracket.

Auburn and then either OSU or BYU.

Not easy.

College sports madness has us at a 6 in South Carolina.

What are everyone's thoughts on the tourney, where we should be and are and how everyone thinks we will play?

Anything different projected?

I have been thinking a 7 for some time but hoped we would improve. I realize our ranking and maybe that will do it for us. (well, don't know if our ranking has changed based on the Big Ten finishing later, haven't checked)
Just waiting for tonight to see what our seed is, where we play and who.
I feel we will win our first game but a guessing game after that, as the season has been. I would love to see them make it to the Sweet Sixteen.
If we are playing teams which we can dominate inside with Kay Kay and Vivi, plus if we use TT at point if the game is too fast then I will feel more confident.

OU should be no worse than a 6-seed, and it's not a stretch to predict a 5-seed for the Sooners.

Oklahoma and OSU have very similar resumes. Both have top 10 RPI wins. Oklahoma has a horrible OOC loss and OSU has 2 bad conference road losses. The SOS was comparable until Oklahoma played Baylor in the conference tourney.

Latest projection has Oklahoma 6 and OSU a 7. I think both should end a 6 and WV should be a 5 or 6. Baylor is obviously a 1 and UT a 2.

KSU should get in as a 9 or 10 seed, but they will be sweating it out come 6pm bracket reveal.

I am ready to learn where everyone is headed to open the tournament. Hopefully the Big 12 can play to/above their seeds this year.

The last bracket that I saw of Creme's had OU seeded behind teams that we had beaten, like Washington and BYU. This seems to denote a west coast bias, or a non-Big Twelve bias. I see;

1 Baylor
2 or 3 Texas (early work will probably get them a two, which may be high)
4 of 5 West Virginia
5 or 6 OU and OSU. Frankly, I think both are better than WV and may well show that in the tournament. WV beat who? Anyone? OU had some good wins, and a bad loss to North Texas.

What is apparent when you study the field is that a lot of teams tended to underperform at times. The past week has made Tennessee look a lot better than the previous four.

I really think this is: UConn
Baylor, Notre Dame, South Carolina
A whole bunch of teams. We could well see any of about forty teams make the Elite Eight.

First Big 12 team in: Oklahoma State as a 7. Seems low. In Corvallis regional.

**Not named Baylor.

Dallas Region.

KSU is a 9 in South Carolina's region. Playing George Washington.
WVU is the 6 seed.

Big 12 getting little respect with regards to seeding, but it isn't surprising.

We got about as good of a draw as you might expect. #3 Kentucky is probably about the most likely of that seed for us to beat. Maryland isn't easy. A Sweet Sixteen would be nice, and we could take Kentucky---with a solid effort like we had against Texas.

I'm loving A&M and Hypocrite U in Dallas Regional and both could meet in Sweet 16!

This is simple. If we just win the rest of our games this year we are the National Champions. :woot

Thank the basketball gods for small favors! The men play on Friday and the women play on Saturday! :woot

Considering, I think we got a decent bracket to perform, now let's see which team shows up. If this ain't motivation, I don't know what will.

Texas as a 2-seed is laughable. I realize the record is good, but that team is not mentally tough enough to defeat any of the top seven or eight teams.

JMHO
