The next month is the most important month of Capel's career

It's do or die time.

No doubt about it. The thing that sucks is that there just aren't a lot of options out there at this point. Our best bet might be try and grab some kids as a result of coaching changes.

Turge to Oregon please!

At this point he might need to land all of the following or he won't survive after next season:

t. jones
t. Ross
aziz
West and/or Carter
at least one more big that is ready to come in and play

Who ever thought when aTm hired Turgeon that 3 or 4 years later we'd be wanting him to take another job so he would get out of our conference?

I sure didn't...

I understand the complications, but what about Europeans? Other teams have filled needs going that route. It's not like we can just fly over there and find a baller or two, but wonder if that is even a possibility.

The big question will be can Capel sell OU basketball after this disasterous season? We had all the momentum in the world after 08-09 when we went to the elite 8 AND produced the national player of the year/#1 overall pick in the NBA draft. That had Oklahoma basketball in the national spotlight. But what about now? Does Capel have a vision to sell, other than you can come here and play early? I hope so, otherwise we're just going to end up with more me first guys and that will get us nowhere.

The pressure is definitely on Capel to produce good players. To make it even more complicated he also has to make sure they are quality character guys.

Going to be interesting how the top-level donors react to the national exposure the program is getting right now.

I think the bigger question at this point is can he identify talent that can work together as a cohesive team? That has been his biggest fault as a head coach so far IMO.
