TJ is gone Personal Reasons

Well, that sucks.

He joins a long list of transfers and quitters.
 
This sucks just because I don't see us getting a better recruit than TJ with that scholarship.
 
I don't think we'll ever know the real story.

True that, I do not either. Hopefully, someone will show up late and be able to be persuaded to come in and help resurrect the program, but I just don't see that happening. This is a bad development, I was hoping TJ could help provide some stability for the future.

James Hale gave us subscribers a very detailed explanation behind him leaving but I can't give out everything or I will lose my privileges. With that said I will say it in a very easy and simple way....... concussion.

I read your response to James on the other board, you do realize that James Hale has absolutely NO sources to the OU basketball team don't you? I have no idea what the actual reason is, but don't be fooled into just taking what James said as accurate because it's probably not. His coverage of OU basketball and reporting "scoops" in the past 2 years has been laughable. So just a little warning for future references, he probably doesn't know what he's talking about.

Well said. Hale gets no scoops period.
 
Agreed. Hale is towing the company line and rarely knows what he's talking about.
 
Well that was a waste...

Capel has had the absolute worst luck the last two years with incoming freshmen...

I was curious what TJ could bring to this team, i guess we will never know...probably end up seeing him at one of the Texas mid majors now...

Will be interesting if the true story comes out to why he was disgruntled and who was the main person to blame in this...i find it hard to believe Capel is the bad guy in these scenarios...if anything he is too close to his guys, not the other way around...

I dont think so either. Because Capel has shown many times that he doesn't trash these kids when they make mistakes. He nearly always lets them leave without exposing something that may disgrace them in the public eye.

Think about how many kids we have lost that we were left wondering what really happen. In my mind that is the mark of a man with character. There is no reason to tell the public what issues a student athlete has. I bet thats one of the reasons that a kid leaving school would say something like "I love Coach Capel" when he clearly doesn't have to.
 
Didn't Dan Cody leave the OU football team with depression stemming from a severe concussion? I don't know that this is what has occurred, but he returned to the team after overcoming it.

This steady stream of players leaving Norman well ahead of schedule (with the exception of Blake and perhaps Willie) cannot continue. Is Capel responsible? Well, he is in that a key part of recruiting is analyzing the character, work ethic, and commitment of the players being brought in. Whether Coach Capel is choosing the wrong guys or is just sort of cursed doesn't really matter to me at this point. All I know is that kids keep leaving, and it's got to stop.

Or guys dealing with post concussion depression... Sounds like his fault... FIRE CAPEL...
