Was Spangler then Bookout the last big bodies OU had under the basket that would mix it up with anybody for a rebound? Probably include Najera in that mix.
Find a 6'8 300 lb HS lineman and teach him how to rebound and run the court and take up some space. Just kidding.

Actually, that is who I was trying to remember he reminded me of but I couldn't think of his name.

We will see I guess. But this kid looks heavier and shorter than I remember glen davis looking in college

Big Baby was like 280 or 285 at LSU, but was a couple of inches taller than Lofton Jr, who is like 275. So Lofton would look heavier for sure.

That LSU team with Davis, Tack Minor, and Brandon Bass, the year after they played here in Norman in the NIT, had some raw talent for sure.

This articles is meaningless. I’m tired of coaches crying and complaining about the NIL. It’s the coaches at the schools with no NIL plan that complain the most. Boynton was complaining about it a few weeks back. I haven’t heard Jamie Dixon or Mark McAdams at Texas Tech complain, and they come from traditionally bad programs.

Rebounding is a mindset established from the top of the program on down. It's "want to".

Spangler might've been 6'7''. Maybe. I wish that dude had 25 years of eligibility. Players like him make every team better.

meh. They have a right to complain about something that will be a detriment to their livelihood regardless of how well they are handling it

The more they complain, the more likely it is they'll have to find a new livelihood. Adapt or fail.

I didn't read it as complaining....I read it as "we'll adapt to it"

It is brand new...so obviously it takes some changing and adjusting....and there are obviously goign to be soe schools who push the envelope. The NCAA will get most people on the same page and you'll see some adjustments.....no sweat.

I'm sure this was posted way back in this thread, but can someone tell me which transfers we have brought in for sure??

I know we picked up Bamisile, or however you spell his name, but otherwise is anyone for sure??

Our class currently consists of:

Freshmen
Milo’s Uzan
Otega Owen
Ben Schroder
Luke Northweather

Transfers
Joe Bamisile
Sam Godwin (walk-on)

Probably Maybe
Grant Sherfield

That leaves two ships, and it’s clear we’re looking at one combo guard and one post.

What happened to the guy that was passing out money through Joszef Zendrief? Can we get his ass back since it’s legal now?

Both Ernie and Davis (a KCK kid..) played WELL above their height....

Ernie had an "ax handle wide" backside as KS use to say and knew how to use it...

I remember Davis handling Greg Dreiling (a former HS classmate although a yr older) of KU as well. Rebounding is a skill..
