If we wrap up Sherfield and get Walker, I think we look better on paper. Current guys should all improve within the system and individually. Get a contributor to back up center and we should be fine.

Exactly. Also, when you are evaluating a guy like Harkless, who has played four college seasons, 10 cherry-picked games is a ridiculously small sample size. You could just as easily find 10 games where he was horrendous. Add on the fact that Joe B is about a hundred times more athletic, and it's fair to say that of the two, his potential upside is far higher.

Cherry-picking games can’t hide how awful Harkless could be on offense sometimes. The question is, why would anyone expect him to be better? He shot 32% from behind the arc and 64% from the free throw line when no one was guarding him.

Need proof? Look no further than last season. He was even bad in some cupcake games.

Mayo's best offer by far out of HS was from Tulsa. Most of the rest were from teams OU would pay money to come to Norman to play.
Has he improved that much in a year to rate Big 12 interest?
