Trump appeal broad

lol

As if those are all GOP problems entirely. Those are POLITICAL problems.
I know. I was listing a partial list of reasons why I'm not beholden to the GOP. Believe me, I dislike the Democrat party more, with their narcissistic pandering. I don't have a party.

The biggest thing on your list is the profiteering in healthcare playmakr. Trump danced around the question about single payer healthcare during the debate because he knows conservatives have been brainwashed against it. But rest assured he still knows nothing would unleash the economy and make possible a real sustainable tax cut than cutting all the middle men and useless overhead out of our overpriced healthcare system.

We have the best providers in the world, but between the patients and those providers are massive middle men driving up the price.

Obamacare was half good and half bad. The good was it made healthcare a right. The bad was it accomplished this by forcing people to do business with the middle men until you reach retirement age. Trump is the only guy running with the balls to take on those middle men and their billions of campaign contributions and the salesmanship to convince conservatives how good it would be for the country.

Trump with Carson as his VP to get it done. Nobody could implement it better than Carson.

I think Trump is going to need someone that appeals to the base as the running mate, if he were the nominee.

Rubio or Kasich would be his best bet.

first post I have ever agreed with you on

Florida will vote red for Trump and Kasich would likely swing Ohio into the red on election night.

This was the Romney/Obama election:

If Trump/Kasich run together I bet Florida and Ohio go red. Two huge swing states.

I honestly think Trump would put California and New York in play. Ohio & Florida become meaningless if a Republican carries those states.

Good lord Jeb Bush is defending the "surge" and Iraq war saying it was Hillary and Obama who screwed up Ws great success. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic and if thousands of brave young men and women weren't dead for nothing.

Sic em Trump. Please make this idiot family go away once and for all.

You know Boca, it is kind of telling to me that you repeatedly stick up for Trump (by all accounts has questionable morals) b/c you agree with his policies but repeatedly personally attack the Bush family (by all accounts are decent human beings) b/c you disagree with their policies. It's the same thing we see on this board too.

Very telling indeed. I see a lot of similarities b/t you and your new hero the Donald

Questionable morals? When did Trump decide to invade a country for no reason, against the rest of the worlds wishes, resulting in hundreds of thousands of innocent dead? When did he cut food stamps, refuse to raise the minimum wage, try to weaken Medicare and social security?

You just have a twisted anti Jesus perception of what is "moral". The Bush clan is nothing more than puppets of the GOP establishment. Singing whatever song and dance they are told. Trump is a real person, his own man.

True when he is attacked he attacks back personally twice as hard. Just like me. We don't start it but we will finish it.

Good to know these are the only things that go into morals...typical boca. deflect the statements

BTW, trump is full of ****. And you are buying it hook line and sinker.
If you can't see how trump is a loose cannon I don't know what to tell you.
Plus he made the remark that instaed of invading Iraq, he would have invaded mexico.

He isn't antiwar like you think he is. He is shoot first, ask questions later....which is a terrible trait for a leader to have

Trump is not calm under pressure. He makes rash decisions. And he admits to making deals under the table for favors (read kickbacks...read he's just like every politician)

There has never been a worse leader in US history than George W Bush. A slimy unqualified failure on every level. A very dumb person. His brother is identical. The entire Bush family exists for one purpose and that purpose is being the lapdog of the GOP establishment.

They are trained puppets going all the way back to Prescott. The litmus test for any future president is the intelligence and courage to say that George W Bush was a loser. Anybody that can't say that is not fit to be President. It won't matter at the polls because only 25-30% diehard brainless lemmings will not agree. Bounce is on that list.

lol expected response. well done

I don't know about New York, but I think California would be in play with Trump. Ohio and Florida WOULD go red though, especially if he ran with Kasich.

I haven't read all of the responses to this thread, but this is the sum total of my opinion about Donald Trump:

No matter what political party future presidents belong to, there is one basic thing I expect of them. I expect that they won't be rude, crude and obnoxious in public. I realize that great leaders are often different in public than when the press isn't around. The former CEO of a company I worked for could famously blister the paint off of walls during his profanity filled tirades. But he was eloquent and well spoken in public.

Trump is simply a bombasitc, arrogant, misogynistic jerk and he's not fit to hold public office.

I think too much is being made about the Trump surge in the polls. We are a year away from a convention. I don't think the voters are interested in anything but the show at this point. When it becomes more serious, I would anticipate that they will begin to follow Kasich, Walker, and Bush more seriously. Trump is a warm-up before the main event. At this point, probably fewer than twenty percent of the electorate is concerned with the daily circus, and Trump has twenty percent of that twenty percent.

I'm rather pleased to see him out there. For years, we have warned that the right wing has some extreme ideas. Despite the fact that Ike and Reagan both said that no politician would be stupid enough to try to destroy Social Security, we see several who have made that a goal. Trump presents the extremism in a way that makes it less palatable to the Independent voter. I hope he remains on stage. He might even become the next Perot, dividing the Republican vote. But, I don't see him as caring enough to be that insulted. I think this is more likely a performance piece for Trump in which he gets a lot of attention.

Sybarite comparing this campaign to previous ones is apples and oranges. The debate last week was the highest rated primary debate in history by over 100%. It was the most watched program in Fox News history. No primary candidate has ever had wall to wall coverage like Trump has because he will give unfiltered interviews every single day unscripted. He's getting coverage equivalent to candidates in October leading into the election.

As for social security I guess you aren't listening because Trump is harshly criticizing the GOP candidates proposing to cut it or raise the retirement age. He says 100% he won't cut social security or Medicare. That we can and will pay for it. His goal is to grow the economy enough through better trade deals that paying for it will be a drop in the bucket.

His message is a lot more centrist that people realize. This is why the GOP establishment is so concerned about him. He says the flat tax is totally unfair and the more you make the higher rate you should pay. He says the economy has performed better under democrats than republicans. He says the war in Iraq was a disaster. He says George W Bush was a disaster. Basically every piece of fiction the GOP peddles he criticizes.

Right. I wonder if the moderator for the Democrat debate would ask Mrs. Clinton about her attempts to denigrate the women her husband sexually harassed? That seems worse than any words Trump has ever said

It would not surprise me if her fashion consultant is none other than Dr. Evil!

I will say this about Hillary. She is massively intellectually superior to the brain dead house republicans conducting the fake Bengazhi investigation that has now shifted to the silly email investigation.

She will effing shred them if they ever call her to testify again. It's going to backfire on them big time using the death of those 4 Americans for partisan political purposes. Anybody with more than 2 marbles between their ears see how fake the accusations are.

The surest way for her to win the presidency is for hick republicans to keep chasing this rabbit down the hole. She will come off looking like a very strong leader when she calls them out in front of the world for their blatant charade.

Trey Gowdy is a total goober.

It's not about truth... its about negative press and putting any inkling of doubt in the minds of a voter, and it will work on some.
