Uh, yeah. Texas Tech(is that what I said?) is the best team in the Big 12 right now, from what i've seen. Will be interesting when they come to Norman. They are athletic and physical!

I think WV is the best team in the conference right now, but Tech isn't very far behind. Having said that, it wouldn't shock me if Tech won the league. After the game tonight, they will be the highest rated Big 12 team in Kenpom.....they are currently #7 right behind KU.

Well, except for an out of bound call that went their way when KU was mounting a comeback, not to mention an and one that should have been called a charge. Fran’s comment when the replay clearly showed Kansas was the beneficiary of two bad calls: “This is Allen Fieldhouse.”

KU doesn’t have the size to compete with TTU inside. Tech is also really good. It won’t be easy for any Big 12 team to beat a Keenan Evans led team with a solid supporting cast. I’m not looking forward to playing them in Lubbock this season.

Tech, WVU, and OU all look like they've got the depth to compete for 18 games. With TCU, Baylor, and Texas all having good depth, it's going to be tough sledding for KU every night.

This is weird to say ... and they'll probably prove me wrong by coming back to win the conference ... but KU just doesn't have the horses this year to win. Tech, WVU, and OU all look like they've got the depth to compete for 18 games. With TCU, Baylor, and Texas all having good depth, it's going to be tough sledding for KU every night.

KU getting Preston and the other guy (De Souza?) back should help their depth, but I don't know that it will change the dynamic of their team all that much. As you mentioned, they lack quality depth inside and I don't see them having a lot of success if they get into uptempo games with teams like OU and WV. They do shoot the 3 hellaciously good (outside of tonight) this season and that will enable them to stay in games with teams in the top half of the conference.

Was gold. Was also awesome when he insinuated that Kansas was good at grabbing on defense and not getting called for it.

Tech is very athletic though. That Smith kid is gonna be a problem. Loved what Beard said after the game about Tech not having many advantages over Kansas except they have a Whataburger in Lubbock.
