Ttu @ KU

Tech looked really good but I think McGusty and Young can have field days against them taking the ball to the rack. It was there the whole 2nd half for KU.

KU spending money to get Preston on the court so they have less to slip under the door of the refs’ locker room.

I'll take WV, OU, TCU and Tech over KU! Are those kids for sure coming back and playing soon? If KU doesn't get them back they won't finish in the top 3 this season for sure. I like Tech, but do they really have enough shooters/scorers? They rebound and do play great defense though.

Lot of folks are saying... everyone beats up on everyone and KU backdoors their way to a championship.

Please lets not let that happen!

This is the worst KU team in Self’s tenure.

It wont be if they get Preston and De Souza full swing quickly...

I agree they arent the KU at the top though..

Id like us to win it, but I'll take anyone but KU!!

This has happened MULTIPLE times during "the streak". The difference (and hopefully it continues) is that KU already lost a game at home. Over the years they've lost 3-5 games total but none at home which is usually where they have the leg up. Tech hopefully started a trend for this season. However, Tech may be one of the "lucky" ones that gets KU with only 1 real threat in the post if one of if not both of the 4/5 star guys get eligible to play soon. I don't think they are end all be all of KU's problems but it sure helps when right now your only back-up in the post should be the 4th option. In the meantime, as many teams as possible need to take advantage while they can.

KU has lost league home games several times during the streak -- OSU, ISU twice, K-State, A&M, and Texas have all won there. They have never lost more than one league home game, though, and that obviously gives them a huge advantage. If someone else can knock them off in Allen, it would make things much more interesting.

As far as whether this is the "worst team" Self has had during the streak -- I think it is too early to say that. They have had bad stretches before. Five years ago, they lost 3 straight conference games -- home to OSU, at TCU against the worst team the league has ever had, and at Norman. And go back and look at their 2012 team that made it all the way to the national championship game -- not exactly a loaded roster. This is definitely a different type of team, and will be unless/until they get one of their guys eligible. But it seems like every time people count them out, they do what they need to do to keep the streak alive. I think Saturday's game will be huge -- if TCU can knock them off, it would likely put them in a two-game hole. But if they win there, they will be right back on track. In other words, GO FROGS!

KU lost :woot

TTU beat KU and thebigabd hasn't posted on this thread.;)

KU missed so many 3s in this game that they looked Div II. Self was imploding.

I think the jayhawks are probably more vulnerable this year than they have been in the past. This year's team is much more dependent upon the 3 point shot than past teams. Presently about 6% more of their shots and points are coming from BTA than in past years.

We all know that if you live by the 3 you die by the 3. Presently the hawks are shooting 41% BTA and are destined to have nights when they shoot 33% or less like the 23.1% they shot against Tech or 25% against Washington. Both losses. Also this years jayhawks are not dominant on the boards as Tech out rebounded them 44-29.

You can never count the hawks and Self out but this year they might have to roll up their sleeves a little higher and sweat a little more to keep their streak in tact.

Agree with you, WS. It's way too early to start counting the squawks out – probably too early to even be daydreaming about it.

Having said that, I'm hoping to see the Sooners put two hiney whippings on those guys – and maybe a third if we get them in the Big 12 Tournament.
