Wednesday we play KU at 7pm. Next Saturday we play Tech at 2pm. Even though both games on the the road, we should be 3-0 this time next week.

Kansas is pretty good.....Not a given..... Texas Tech, will be a win for us....

The season kind of just began. Some of our opponents have been pretty good.

Washington is 11-2 after losing to Arizona State (#22) in their Pac Twelve opener. That was their first loss since the first game against OU. They did destroy Texas A&M: 70-49.

South Florida is 11-3. Kentucky is 13-2 after beating Mississippi today. Mississippi had about fifteen free throws. Kentucky had about forty. A couple of Mississippi starters fouled out with about eight minutes left, and Kentucky kind of polished it off after that. Sound familiar?

Illinois is 9-4, losing to Virginia, Seton Hall, and Purdue after we beat them. Arkansas-Little Rock is 8-2, having lost to Tulane and South Dakota State. Duke is 10-4 after beating Wake Forest today. Arkansas is also 10-4 having lost to Texas A&M today, 52-50.

We've played some solid teams. Kansas is 9-4 having just lost to Texas in Austin. They also lost to Purdue, Creighton, and Notre Dame. They did beat Cal, 62-39. Cal was supposed to have been the favorite in the Pac Twelve this year. Tech is 11-2 after beating TCU in Lubbock. They lost to NC State and Purdue. Purdue has beaten several of our opponents. But, Tech hasn't really beaten anyone good.

We have two upcoming games against mediocre teams on their courts. This is our chance to prove the last couple of wins were not flukes and this team is on the rise. A loss to either team will put a question mark in the heads of the team. They can't afford to have doubt about their ability but rather they need a strong dose of confidence as we prepare for the likes of Baylor, Texas, and OSU. That's why these games are very important. Two wins against KU and Tech and this team could get on a roll. Lose either game and it will be a set back.

We have to have Gioya playing well but we need some others to show up as well. I think the ones to look to for help are Sharane, Kornet, and Kaylon. It's time for the upper classmen to step up and lead this team.

Can be, and probably should be 3-0 going into the next home game next week vs. Fexas.

I wouldn't call Kansas mediocre. They did beat Cal pretty badly.

I would hesitate to call either team medicore this early in the season. Kansas still has Seniors Chelsea Gardner and Asia Boyd who seem like they have been there forever. They beat Cal and lost to Creighon and Cal beat Creighton. I also doubt that Cal is going to win the Pac 12.

Tech....it has been a few years since they have been competitive. I haven't seen them play and looking at their schedule doesn't really give me a clue as to how they are going to do this year. It would be nice to see them come back. I like for the Big 12 to have strong teams. They did beat TCU who did well last year and looks like they have 4 seniors back all of whom either started or got a lot of playing time last year. TCU has two bigs who got very little playing time in Tech game and Tech has no bigs.

It will be fun to see us play these two teams...see where we are. I think it is obvious that Texas and Baylor are very good. Who is number three right now in the conference? Always happy for conference season to start.

I would have Osux number 3 right now. If we keep improving, I can see us fourth in the conference. I think we are better than Kansas, K state, tech, TCU, IOwa State, and WVa. Some of these 6 wll be hard to sweep.

Notre Dame killed KU. Cal shot the ball horribly against KU but Cal is the better team. KU will not finish in the top 5 of the conference. To me, that's mediocre.

I agree, IF the team that showed up Sunday continues to show up. We know these young teams can be hit and miss. Think the next couple of games should give us more of a clue of what this team will achieve. It could be an exciting season. I hope so because it is more fun for the fans, but mostly I hope so for the players. It is their lives that are being impacted on a daily basis.

Plus, I don't know the potential of the other teams. But time will tell.

I am just anxious to see how the women play tonight. Will it be similar to
Sunday's game, maybe even better?

You bet! We have played two good games, can we make it three in a row?

I say, yes. OU by 10. The unknown to me is, which players will step up tonight? I look for Gioya and Sharane to be the stars.

KU has 5 players who shoot 35% or better from BTA. It would be great to be able to sag inside and help in the paint but that is probably not an option tonight as KU can take advantage when they have open shooters.
