That had 5 wins over sweet 16 teams. That’s right, the mighty Hilltoppers went to Stillwater and took out the juggernaut pokes! I guess WKU deserves to be in the tournament before osu, right?

I think WKU should claim a share of the national title and hang a banner. After all, it's what the Pokes would probably do -- although they might wait 60 years and then do it retroactively!

they hate it when you bring up that banner from their EZ that says they won a football NC in like 1849.

So you're saying Western Kentucky should be the model for this program?

lol @ you guys.... WKU is 27-10. They lost at Wisconsin by 1, at Villanova by 6... This is a really good team.

Why lol? People are just saying WKU should have been in the tourney. They were obviously cheated out of the opportunity.

I thought margin of victory wasn't relevant? So they lost to a poor wiscy team and got beat by a great nova team... who have they beat though?

We went 1-2 against a team that lost to WKU... :(

We are 1-4 in the last 5 vs those guys up north. Time for Kruger to turn it around

Lol. They also lost to Missouri St., UTSA, & Ohio. And, btw, Wisconsin sucked this year.

There's an argument to be made that OSU should've made the tournament. I don't agree, but I can see the argument. What I don't get is the lengths to which an OU fan will go to prop up an, at best, mediocre Oklahoma St team.

Don't hate on OSU. Their play in the NIT solidified their claim as a top 80 team in the country. Perhaps even top 75.

WKU has some guys that can play. The rumor is they are heavily rewarded for performance. We don't want to model ourselves after them.

Agreed. Rick Stansbury has a reputation that precedes WKU back to Mississippi State. He also recruited Mitchell Robinson, once thought to be a 1-&-done player who flaked out and left school as it was starting in August. How did he get him to go to WKU in the first place? Lots of rumors about that story.

Stansbury is basically operating college basketball's version of a "get rich quick" scheme for everyone, not really truing to build anything because he's planning on moving to greener pastures as soon as he can and every place he coaches is worse off after he's gone than it was when he arrived.

The one thing everyone says about Stansbury is, "boy, he can really recruit!" He's just looking for 1 really good season so can get to something bigger.
