First, you tease that you have news about a player OU's recruiting, only to finally reveal that the guy's signing with MU. Not that you're not allowed to be excited about that, of course, but is rushing over here to rub our noses in it really the thing to do, especially with a misleading headline? Somehow, my first impulse, when learning that OU is about to land a coveted recruit, is never to rush to a rival board to announce it.

And now, you're ragging on a complementary story about one of our new coaches?

I'm beginning to hold you in lower esteem (which I'm sure won't keep you up at night).

Sky, I can't say I disagree with your take on Sawyer's posts lately, although it seems totally out of character for the guy we've come to know on this board. Maybe a Jayhawk fan hi-jacked his computer or took over his body, which would explain the snarky behavior.

As for Steve Henson, he should be a huge asset to OU's coaching staff, and I'm glad he chose to follow Coach Kruger

The Wainright thread was information I thought you guys would want to know. I know if a target Mizzou was high on could potentially be committing somewhere else soon, I'd be following the weekend to see if he did or not.

As for my post here... I found it odd that a story on what a coach brings doesn't actually include anything about him as a coach or what he's done in the nearly 25 years since he played in college.

You might feel a little differently if a fan from the rival school where he was about to sign rushed over to start a thread touting the pending commitment and then posted an ambiguous thread title.

On the Henson tip, Mossman was telling what he knew firsthand about Henson's personality and tenacity. After all, he's not a journalist, he's an associate A.D. I found his story both interesting and informative.

I've read threads posted by kansas fans on Missouri boards for the past year about Ben McLemore's imminent commitment to ku. I was interested in every piece of information that came out. Same with the numerous threads from ku/Illinois fans about Beal.

Sawyer, I am like you and like to know about players my team is after. However, you have to respect that not everyone is like that and it could be construed as cocky/conceded when you post stuff about imminent Mizzou Recruits on an OU board. I know your posting style and I know you meant no harm, I just wanted to help you see how some OU fans on an OU board might view some posts like that.

Again, if your thread had been titled in such a way that it was clear what info you had to share, that'd have been different. You instead put a misleading tease in the subject line.
