What Is Your NCAA Tourney Seed Prediction?

i just took the first page predictions from where you told me to look
On the first page:
Tiny: we are a 9 at worst after tonight
IB: we will go 2-1 and be an 8
Dutch: we are a 9 if we don't win any more games
Boom: we will be a 9, and I still think we will win another game even with our injuries.

You are now (i.e., today) saying that the 10-line is where "most" people thought we would be barring an upset win. You made that argument in response to my comment that it is interesting how many people are now saying they will be happy just making it, when a week ago people were confidently predicting more. Remember, people were so confident after the Cincy game that some were suggesting we should sit Waldo and JM at Texas because there was no question we were in.

We are still likely in, but there is a possibility that enough other bubble teams play well enough this week that we will drop to a play-in (or worse in a (im)perfect storm).

You are so full of it. Granted, I didn't check all of these...just Dutch's. You claim he said we are a 9 if we don't win any more games. In reality he said "I’d lean 9 with zero/one more win, 7 with two more wins"

I think they key here is that this was after the Cincy game and majority of those comments were as of now (then). If you told every poster on page one that we would finish 0-2, I think many would agree a 9, 10, or 11 seed was very plausible.

9-seed still being in the majority of bracketology brackets.

Also you definitely ignored or skipped/omitted the top post by IndySooner saying we would be a 10 if we lost the next two.

Miss st laying an egg with a 22 point first half and down 7, hope it continues in the second half!

Oklahoma up a line because of Big 10 conflicts in first round. SEC, Big 10 and Big 12 make this all difficult.

A Few Notes Due to Bracketing Rules/Conference Matchups:

Kentucky down a line, Kansas up a line
Clemson up a line, South Carolina down a line
Oklahoma up a line, Nebraska down a line

Because I focused on the majority, which was the point Boulder was trying to make. And as for saying “if” people knew we would go 0-2 … that’s kind of my point. People had higher expectations and now are acting as if it’s fine to limp in as a 10. No one should be satisfied that we are on bubble watch and limping our way to the finish line, but it seems like an awful lot of people are just writing off our losses because (a) we aren’t healthy and (b) we played good teams.

I admit, I'm chuckling a bit at the pearl clutching regarding my profiting from the OU loss yesterday. I am a very casual gambler: I'm not flinging money all over the place just to see what sticks. But I have no qualms about throwing down some dollars if a team I know well is over or under-valued. Look at our Sooners: we're two-point dogs in a building where we play like **** against a team that's better than us when all things are equal. Throw in a bunch of injuries and why should I leave that alone? We've been hot trash for over a month! Knowledge is the coin of the realm, and if Vegas doesn't realize that we're toast with the decimation of our lineup why not profit from that?

If I'm wrong, I'm happy. Why? The Sooners won! But we stood little to no chance yesterday, so why not put a little jingle in my pocket? Those big towers in Las Vegas aren't built on the backs of winners. I'll bet with my head, not with my heart. At the end of the day, hopefully, the Whataburger within the yellow wrapper was consumed on the back of some other bastard's lost kruggerands.

Miss St. wins… I’d say this for sure puts them above us.

I just think it is shitty is all. Placing bets against your teams may be "smart" but I think it makes for a crappy fan. I just don't understand it. Profitting off the failures of the team you are a fan of.

From the first page.

Shoutout to Indy, the 2nd post of the thread saying double-digit seed. (Although we are still a 9 by most bracketologists)

@TINY said 9 RIGHT AFTER THE GAME
@IBSooner was hopeful with an 8 after going 2-1 to finish.
@allday92 hoped for 7 or 10
@SoonerDutch was spot on with 9 after 0 or 1 more win

A lot of people were projecting a particular seed with finishing record. I am not sure what you are on about here or what I missed in the arguments above. ( I could be straw-manning and not know it bc I am just being lazy at work)
I don't think I gave a projection/prediction. I just gave scenarios where I thought we would end up based upon W/L outcomes.

Why? A win over a non-tourney team elevates them? I think they need one more to jump us.

Based on Bracketmatrix and most sites, they were right there with us prior to the LSU game. The extra win logically could push them over.

MSU have less quad 1 wins than OU still. MSU have 3 quad 2 losses to our 0 losses.
MSU has 1 quad 4 loss which probably is going to keep them out of the dance imo.
Theoretically, you are correct. I just don't know what the committee will do with them when compared to us. They should be in the 11-range to me.

Pitt playing its way in. St. John's solidifying a spot.

We are still ahead of both, in my opinion.

True, the committee can subjectively select whoever they want without any recourse.

I just am going based off of the published criteria and past outcomes (specifically when ou had a 36 NET but was left out because we had a quad 4 loss to butler)

Seton Hall getting smoked helps us -- obviously a bubble team was going to lose that game either way, so a blowout is a good thing. And Pitt beating Wake likely helps -- Wake is probably out now, and Pitt probably needs another win.
Agree 100%. Pitt will likely lose to UNC and the Johnnies have to play UCONN tomorrow.
