I think Pitt is likely currently right on the cut line; behind us either way. If they lose tomorrow they stay behind us; if they win, they probably jump us. That would be a monster resume builder if they beat UNC.

Lunardi updated and has, in fact, jumped Michigan State and Mississippi State over us among the last four byes based on today’s results. He is just one guy, obviously, but it illustrates how fine a line it is when you find yourself right on the edge.

At this very moment I don’t think we are really sweating in or out. I DO think we are sweating the play in game though. The level of sweat could change depending on results today into tomorrow. If things go REALLY poorly I think we could start sweating selection but not currently.

Love the local media in Tulsa always loving on OSU.

The Pokes finished 12-19, had a NET ranking of 120, and Boynton made 1 tournament in 7 years.

Losing one game by two points on a buzzer beater isn’t what got him fired.
How is that post loving on OSU?

I agree. He owned OU before that lol…..brb crying

If you live in Tulsa, you would know.

Saying that loss had anything to do with his firing is not reality, but instead trying to frame his record and team in a positive light. That's what the Tulsa media does to OSU.

LOL!!!

In his 7 years, Boynton was 8-8 against OU (8-7 before that shot) and finished ahead of OU in the Big XII once in his 7 years.

Iowa losing = good.

Providence potentially picking up a huge win = bad.

UNLV losing = good. They had the potential to be a bid thief with that tourney in Vegas.

I think if we are being really greedy, Iowa and Providence winning tonight may not be bad for us. With head to head wins over both, it could actually bolster our resume a bit… but they would both absolutely need to lose tomorrow.

For me, I wanted either Miss St or TAMU to lose today; both of them winning is a negative outcome for OU. I think they are both right about with us now.

If we were solidly in and didn’t have to worry about play-in or worse, I’d agree. I just see them as two teams we are competing with so I want them out of the way lol. And I don’t think them winning helps our resume much, whereas it helps them a ton. Our wins over them won’t move up a quad regardless.

I agree about the two SEC teams. Would also be bad if Dayton loses. We need that to be a one-bid league. I think the A-10 hurt us two years ago.

1 for 2; Iowa lost to tOSU, & Providence just knocked off Creighton.

Yep. Iowa is done now. I still can’t imagine this pushes Providence ABOVE us though; definitely bolsters their case but with our head to head I imagine we are still out in front of them. But if they win again they could leap us.

Yikes...if the upsets continue and we get knocked out, the person who started this thread is going to end up quoting Jack Nicholson's character in "A Few Good Men" - not the famous quote in the courtroom, but the one from earlier in the movie.

Jack: How's your dad doing?"
Tom: "He died about a year ago."
Jack: "Don't I feel like the *&^%$ @#$%^&"

A10 The top 4/5 have lost… def issue

#1 and #2 seed both lost.. the only ranked team Dayton at 25 is losing.

Joe B lead vcu with 18 in the win

And this is why it’s dangerous to assume things. Dayton losing means some team will be out, and other teams pushed closer to the play-in. We should be rooting against Virginia, Nova, and Colorado tonight.

Don't fret gentlemen, I am about to cast my redneck voodoo on all of those teams.....which will likely translate into only one of them losing. ;)

Wichita/04, I live bet both Nevada and Baylor on the money-line when both were down big early. I have to win one of those....right?
