When Doolittle Comes Back...

Starters will remain the same, but Shepard, Doolittle, and McNeace will get the bulk of the minutes off the bench? So McGusty and Freeman go to the back of the bench?

Shepard is a really solid player and the kind of guy that helps you win basketball games. If McGusty's not scoring, what else can he do for you?

I think we will just play a deeper rotation. We haven't in the past because we haven't had the guys for it, but the ability to keep guys fresh, especially at the pace we want to play is a huge deal. McGusty is way too talented a player to keep on the bench (i.e. not playing, I don't mean he has to start).

I think Doolittle will move up the rotational ladder faster than some may believe. It may take a few games for him to get into the flow again on offense, but he’s too valuable as a defender and rebounder to stay at or near the bottom too long. He’ll be one of the first players off of the bench, and he might even start, by the conference portion of our schedule.

Doolittle is exactly what this team needs like Ada said for his defense and especially rebounding. If this team is going to be what we want he's going to probably have to play some big minutes soon but realistically I don't think you can expect much until we're well into Big 12 play because of how long he's been out.

It may be later but I think sooner(pun). He's not new to the program and I expect him playing at least 15 good minutes against NW.

Young, CJ, Manek, Lattin...? be nice to see McGusty with that crew or Doolittle at the 4, Manek 3, CJ 2...
