Today was day one of the official summer workouts. I see that Blair’s high school team finished its season a couple days ago, but I see little chance he shows up in Norman this summer. The draft starts on July 13.

Wrong. 😂. Again. Boomer

Is he even a viable option for playing time? Doesn’t baseball start like early February? How can he balance that?
People will list a handful of guys who have done it at the high D-1 level. The thing is, that proves how rare it is. You can probably count on one or two hands the guys who have played both sports over the past 30 years. There probably are more if you include guys who rarely got playing time in one/both sports, but to really make it work, you have to be the rarest of breeds.

I think he said that basically basketball will take precedence until the season is over. I guess the reason it may work is that he's so good at baseball that the baseball team will work around it. Hopefully he's good enough where they figure something out for at least three years. If not, hopefully he's helping out the baseball team until he goes pro.

This is what I’m thinking. I mean, I WANT him to be a basketball stud and help the team from day one. But I just don’t think the basketball/baseball thing will work out. And it sounds like baseball is his main sport. I don’t think Moser can rely on him all year.

Feels like OU basketball is more stacked this year talent wise(relatively speaking) than in recent years. If he's the 13th guy or whatever, let him physically develop but if he can play baseball early they need him if he can rake.. Let Skip borrow him!

once he is at OU playing baseball he can't be drafted again until after his 3rd year

We’re counting on Blair for nothing, so anything we get out of him is gravy.

Good place to be with a Top 100 recruit.
