WVU gets a big man commit

That helps us a lot, I'm really becoming hopeful that we'll get Jurick. :)

You better hope we keep Capel then...b/c no Capel, no Jurick

I wouldn't necessarily say that. Jurick has a great opportunity here to log big minutes at a top notch program. If Capel is given the boot then I'd expect him to still look at Oklahoma (as long as we get the next guy in here fairly quickly.

Ya...I don't really understand the people that believe everytime a coaching change occurs a program gets completely blown up.

I can see the case for keeping Capel. I don't support keeping Capel, but I can see the case for it. When I don't get is people saying everyone is going to leave and we won't get any new commitments if we get a new coach. Yes, some people might leave, but it's not automatic...

Most posters say this because of our most recent coaching change. Lets face it that wound is still open. But you are correct to an extent we never know what will happen.

He made the National juco tournament. That means a lot of coaches are gonna get involed.

I don't think this is the most current of games of which to form an opinion, this bit of film has me indifferent. Jurick looks to have good size, decent lateral mobility and some shot blocking ability, all items we sorely need. I do see a lack of urgency that concerns me, is the desire/motor there to compete on the D1 level? Oh and that FT stroke? ugh.... Is there any better film on Jurick out there?

What Jurick gives us is options. He may or may not be that good but I guarantee that with him, Goff, Washington, Thompson, Osby, Fitz, and Honore....WE WILL HAVE REBOUNDING, DEFENSE, AND OFFENSE. Because the odds are in our favor that someone will step up.

No John Blake, no Ahmed Kabba.

Disclaimer: Not comparing Capel to Blake. Just making the point that of all the reasons to keep a coach I believe the retention or potential signing of a player should be WAY down on the list.

Now back to the topic at hand which is discussing the impact of landing Jurick.

Losing Capel might mean losing guys that he has recruited, but it also might mean gaining guys the new coach has been recruiting that want to follow him to OU.

As someone said, a lot of the time, players sign with coaches, not schools.

I think there is a lot to gain if you keep him another year. He's been working hard on that 2012 class...plus we have potential signees this year like Guerrero and Jurick that could make a huge impact. I believe he would succeed if he comes back and we could start being on top again.

No chance he come here without capel.

His motor looks like weak sauce. If he gave a damn it looks like he could be a beast.

Is OU looking at Calipari because he is the only scumb bag I know that would quite on a school and take his recruits with him.
