WVU tries to rebound against visiting Iowa State / Charleston Gazette-Mail

Huggins is brutally honest about WVU getting their collective butts kicked on the boards, isn't he?

I knew this OU team was capable, I just didn't expect to see it. Shows what can happen when our kids come ready to play and make a determined effort from start to finish.

Good article. Thanks for posting, Trav!

I think, what’d Coach Knight say? ‘Everybody has the will to win but few have the will to prepare to win.’

Someone needs to tell Huggy and Knight who that quote actually originates with.

I don't like Huggins style of ball, but there is no question that he has been successful. And he is one of those coaches who is very candid about his team and it isn't afraid to call out any of his players (see Calapari).

It should be a good game tonight. ISU usually handles the WV press fairly well, but remember that WV already won in Ames earlier this year after they went on a run late in that game.

I think part of the reason for our rebounding struggles was a negative by product of moving Spangler away from the post to set screens on the 3-point line too much. Often times our guards would shoot a 3 with spangs caught hovering around the 3-point line, leaving Lattin by himself. Nice adjustment by the coaches getting spangs back on the block a lot more, where he is more comfortable.

Huggins loves Spangler, and Buddy, but he really loves Spangler.
