2015 Faith 7 All-Star Game Roster

Anxious to see the Texas roster. I've searched and haven't found one.

A lot times they don't bring the superstars!!

I did hear Rashard Odomes is supposed to play in this for texas.

If Odomes is scheduled to play in this game, I may try to make the trip to Shawnee to get a up close and personal look at our future Sooner. Despite the depth on next year's team, I think he'll play and play often.

I read an article from last summer when Odomes was playing in a big AAU tournament in Las Vegas. I'm including an excerpt because it has a good description of his overall game, and I thought you guys might enjoy it. I liked that he is much more than just a scorer.

Given the way he played and the types of plays that he made down the stretch, versatile rising senior guard Rashard Odomes……a three-star prospect who narrowly missed the cut the last time the Rivals150 was updated, Odomes is very much going to be in the conversation post-summer.

He is a true utility wing who does a little bit of everything. He can handle the ball, is an alert passer, finishes at the rim with athleticism and makes enough jumpers to keep defenders honest. Where he shines, though, is in transition and as a defender. He moves his feet, gets deflections and always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

"Coaches like the way I drive the ball," Odomes said. "I go up strong and I just play hard on both ends. That's just how I've always been."

Nice read, usedtobe1. Thanks for posting!

Odomes doesn't appear to have any weaknesses, which is one of the reasons I believe he will get meaningful minutes his first season. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he replaces Booker as the first guard off of the bench. His crazy hops and athleticism really stand out in his highlight videos. But, it's his ability to score off of the dribble and from behind the arc that makes me think he will make an important contribution as a freshman...maybe not at first, but by conference time. He's a 50% shooter from behind the arc, which seems to suggest that he could step right in as a replacement for Booker without missing a beat. Here's a quote from the OUScout article OUHoops posted last week.

Odomes has the numbers to prove that he could step in right away – 25.2 points and 12.4 rebounds per game as a senior while shooting nearly 60 percent from the field and better than 50 percent from behind-the-arc.
