I forgot to start the game thread last night. So go ahead and comment.

Key to the win was rebounding that we won 53-41 and kept turnover margin to -2. Also did not let Jackson dominate inside. Solid win keeps us with a good chance to be a 4 seed.

Much better performance by the Sooners today. 25 assists on 30 made baskets!

KU still got away with a lot of fouls in the inside.

They certainly did. Not sure why every touch gets a foul called on us when outright muggings by our opponent seldom draw a whistle. The game wouldn't have even been competitive if the Beakers had been called for half of those offensive fouls down low.

The radio announcer said that we have had at least 25 assists seven times this year. In only three of all the previous years have we had 25 or more assists.

Perhaps that is the cost of some of the turnovers.

Because all refs are out to get all OU teams at any cost. Just ask the OU fans. In reality the refs make many bad calls and they generally even out by games end. Plus we fans remember every bad call that goes against the Sooners and rapidly forget or totally disregard those bad calls that favor OU. It is called fandom.

Am I the only one that noticed the new hair-dos for several players in the KU game? I didn't realize how much I rely on hair to identify players until they change it up.

Maddie had her’s in. Kinda of too knot. Gabby had hers braided, which I think she always does. Who else did you notice?

This is the real question, is this uneven calls directed by the Conference heads? It is so obviously not called he same on both ends. So glad when we get out of this inference.

Tot and Vann usually wore their hair up and they had it in a ponytail for the KU game.

Yes, that's probably true for you can many other fans. Not the case for me, though. ;)

I don't think anyone on this board is foolish enough to believe that 'all refs are out to get all OU teams at any cost'. All refs make good calls and bad calls in every game. They can make a huge difference in close games. Players and coaches always watch their film and strive to be better. Hopefully, officials do the same.

Was attempting to be sarcastic toward a post that scrybe stating "Not sure why every touch gets a foul called on us when outright muggings by our opponent seldom draw a whistle."

Of course refs can make a bad call in a close game that makes a huge difference. But perfection is probably the only means to eliminate that occurrence.

I am a strong believer that virtually all refs make a very strong effort to call a fair an accurate game and that virtually always those human errors even out. And I have been watching the game for over 70 years. I guess to each his own.

There will always be exceptions as I can think of the Oregon and Texas Tech football games. But I put those in the past. And find the system works to correct those as the entire Oregon officiating crew got suspended and the replay refs career was finished with that game. For certain I want the human element to continue to be a part of the game played humans. JMHO!
