It’s mostly been leverage every year, I’m sure if Villanova or another higher profile job offered him he would take it but he’s fighting for more NIL on a yearly basis.

Now sounds about the time to hammer UF +6.5 the more Willard plays double agent.

Eh. Wade's players knew he was leaving and came out and blew the doors off Clemson in the first half. You never know how players will respond. Sometimes players actually bond together against a coach and it works in their favor.

Florida is the better team, so it won't be a surprise if they win, but it's impossible to know how this will affect them.

I get impression he would leave for a better or even lateral job.

I wouldn’t blame him (or his agent) either way, would want my rep to be fighting for resources (or a buyout) lol.
 
1. Buzz still on the radar to leave CStat

2. Beard is tough....he's clearly one of the best coaches in CBB but some won't hire him with this past, obviously.

Player wise:
Oweh - does everything pretty well, other than shoot the dang ball. That was broken before he got to OU and hasn't been fixed.
Los - Slump/lack of confidence. The guy can play, think he can be an elite passing pg/defender. Not sure he will ever be the...

Not only is Oweh's ORtg atrocious, but is point above replacement is 3rd worst on the team. He has the most usage as well. Crazy that Rivaldo is 100% our MVP in conf play, love to see that.

If you sort by ORtg, you get Soares, Northweather, Darthard, Moore...in that order. Fascinating.

I don't think he's going to Maryland. There are a couple of coaches in the area that will get calls: Tony Skinn (George Mason) and Duane Simpkins (American, also Maryland alum).

Maryland has the same issues: funding of the basketball program. But it would get Porter a new start.

Just remembered: Joe C. is a Maryland grad. Whether that means he'd do them any favors on a buyout is another story.
