Trae's dad tells it like it is. Trae will have to consider all the backlash he received locally (OU fans) before deciding to come back or go to the NBA. If the $$$ didn't seal the deal, your whining probably did. I still can't believe, although I should expect it, many OU fans began complaining about Trae being "part of the problem".
:facepalm
If I were Trae I would regret not going to a blue blood while also being irritated that my dad was right ONCE AGAIN. But Trae wanted to be a savior for OU basketball while also accomplishing his own personal dream of playing in the NBA. But what does he get in return when things aren't so peachy? A serrated edge right in the back by the very fans that were cheering him on early in the year. :facepalm
I still feel Lon gave into the concerns of Trae shooting too much when we'd lose and as a result put the reigns on him which only made things worse for the team. This team was at its best when the other team had to employ trick defenses, as Rayford explained, to stop him which once the Sooners made it easier to defend Trae by asking him to tone it down... it was GAME OVER and we only won a few more games after that BARELY. I bet if you could go back in time and tell Trae to not change a thing, we win at least 5 or 6 more games than we did.
