Would look in the Crimson and Cream!

Get 'em, Lon.

A guard with his talent would excel under Kruger.

Austin had to be impressed with what he saw. He would had to see that he would be perfect in OU's offense, not to mention the players he would team with in the years ahead.

We also swept UT and OSU (the team he first committed to LOL). That has to mean something to him.

I could just see Lon and Steve Henson turning into an absolute monster.

So glad he isn't going to play for that clown, Travis Ford!

Glad he got to see a good atmosphere. More importantly he saw a team losing only two seniors with a good recruiting class coming in, program on the rise would be a good place for him to be.

And an unbelievable coaching staff

So anybody in the know ? How good of a shot do we have with him ?

I thought he was holding out for better offers. I'm not sure how real his interest in OU is right now. He would fit in perfectly with this team and coaching staff.

He should know he is committing to a great program and coach of the year in the Big Twelve.

I know a little. He is a big fish in a big pond. He's blown up this past season. It will be hard for OU to get him. Those DFW kids are hard to pull away.

I think OU being close to home is a positive. Hopefully I'll find out a little more this next week.

He can come play for Lon or do what J. Randle, J. Mickey, Marcus Foster, and M. Smart did......they chose poorly.

To be fair Kentucky is doing better than us this year (although imagining this squad with Randle is scary). With the way Jerami Grant is performing this year, I wish he would have chose OU over the Orange.

I think we have a good shot at him. No way of knowing exactly where OU finished the first time around, but I recall that he had a lot of good things to say about our team and our coaches. I think he wants to stay close. Not sure if he has siblings, but it appears he has a pretty serious girl. Can't imagine he'd want to go out to Florida.

My guess is our biggest competition is UT if they ever offer, KU if they ever offer, and maybe a team like Duke if they offer. I really like our chances over every school that is not UT or a true powerhouse program. And they may never offer (I don't count UF in that group).

We have a good playing time situation for him. We've got a good coach, and a system that would fit him.

My gut instinct tells me we may have a good chance with him. He prefers to be close to home. His sophomore year he transferred to Huntington Prep for 3 weeks than came home. He would fit in well with OU offense but not sure defensively how strong he is.. Anyone have news on how the visit went?

He has OU ties in the family. His grandfather, Ron Crabbe, played baseball at OU. I have a friend who's husband is Grandstaff's cousin. She has been telling me about Austin for a couple of years. Would love to see the Sooners get him.

He really seems like a great fit
